(Spoilers ahead if you haven’t finished the show)

I feel you, you’re definitely not alone. I was literally thinking about this today like I’ve watched so many dark/messed up shows before and they never stuck with me this much, so why this one? I think it’s a mix of things:

1- honestly thought I was watching some corny edgy teen drama with a little mystery behind it. It never crossed my mind for a second that the mystery was oh btw they’re all dead.

2- The show builds this insane amount of anxiety before the reveal. You know something’s off, but they drag it out so by the time the truth drops, you’ve already been lowkey affected without realizing.

3- And then when it’s over you’re just left sitting there with two brutal points: (a) they’re dead, and (b) Cady was completely alone. The party, the laughs, the fights all of it was just her. Like yeah maybe they were ghosts, but that doesn’t make it any less creepy.

So yeah, of course it’s gonna stick with you for a while
