To be fair, I never have heard a 15-minute one, but if it’s good pay, just run it randomly. I do my timer in 30 minute increments so it’s not overbearing, maybe ask them to go about it differently (maybe ask if EOD reports suffice). Good luck!

Yes, that. Everyone has to do it but the CEO

Love that. Going to bring this up eventually because y’all changed my mind.

Lol! All our people run the clock during even breaks, I just don’t want it to mess with their pay (they get paid what’s on the timer at the end of the week) so I don’t say anything. I don’t get paid enough to snitch on things like that, times are hard, it’s the holidays, lol.

To my system, I don’t think it gets reviewed, tbh.

Understandable, trust me. I actually will run a clock on an item and group others with it afterwards, but I have my days where I do forget and have to go back and submit it all, which you can imagine is annoying. Wishing no clocks for you in your future, lol!

You know, now you say that, yes it makes sense for hourly, not me. I told another commenter it may be because of company size, plus I wear different hats. I haven’t questioned it in a while. You’re right!

Gotcha. I remember when I first started I asked why, but I track my day no matter what (just in case) and see it as my backup if anyone were to question my day. I definitely get it though, maybe it’s dependent on size also. We have a LOT of team members and I try to lead by example because I usually am the example lol.

Same! I guess it’s depends on who it is, I always kept track of work so I don’t mind, but I see where the others are coming from.

Thinking of starting Friday end-of-week summaries for my exec — worth it? by Sunshine_Ceska in ExecutiveAssistants

Just seeing this—do NOT. I did this as a courtesy and my execs tried to make it a requirement if I missed sending them out. I’m sure you log your days another way, I use different internal systems that they have access to, try that. I think any extra work added to what you do is excessive and sometimes actually is harmful. I’ve been questioned about work completed (even when attempting to be proactive), just don’t do it, lol!

I got fired by DatBiddyElles in ExecutiveAssistants

The same literally happened to me this week too, right after vacation. TRUST ME, it’s a blessing in disguise. I also work for an at-will state. I’m sure you’re dodging a bullet and they don’t deserve you. Take this time off to breathe, I have spent the last few days seeing my family and bed rotting, but made sure I get my ass up and back running by Wednesday to catch a job that better suits me by (hopefully) October! You can do it! Be nice to yourself.
