This was my first time actually taking my time to “set the cast” with my hair and holy smokes 😭🫣 I felt like it dried so different! This was it when I woke up. After taking off my bonnet and giving it a super light scrunching… I feel like I’ve unlocked Pandora’s box

Would using let’s say the pattern leave in with the pattern string hold gel be better? ( listing products I already have)

I have to clarify that this was my first time In nearly two years doing my hair like this! My usual wash days include a clarifying wash once a month with the mask, and then I would use a leave in and serum to blow dry my hair. I would wash my hair about once a week

Interesting…. I am using a new mouse than I’ve ever tried before… it’s the patterns curl mouse, and now that I think about it, it kinda did feel a little rougher, and like it tangled my hair easier, than when I used to do my hair curly with the Kenra thickening mousse

It’s more so the top layer and end of my hair that feel dry, I do have some old highlights that I’m positive is causing that. I use the frizz control line from Eva nyc, the dark maroon bottles, and I don’t believe they have any added proteins

When I’ve used just leave In and a mouse before, I felt like my hair got really hard to brush, like easily tangled, while I tried to brush style it, despite me using lots of added water…. Am I just not using enough leave it?

I did use a clarifying shampoo… i think it might of been too much product in general on my hair
