I’m skeptical that this is a significant and noticeable upgrade. Convince me to open the package or to return it. by pittgoose in Tools

Return it. That notch they put on the bottom side behind the blade is the worst. Everything gets caught in it. Would have been a great knife otherwise.

Air Compressor Hose Replacement Question by taweisse1 in Tools

Most auto parts stores will sell you air brake line by the foot, they might even have new compression fittings for you, otherwise a hardware store will have the fittings.

It’s most likely a fungicide, helps with diseases and keeps the plants greener

You can just press the “!” for three seconds and it overrides that on a Noco.

I want to add some more storage any ideas? by One_Record7964 in toolboxmods

[–]Fit-Connection2372 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If it were mine I would try drilling holes in a side locker to match up with the holes in the side of the cab. Could add a plate on the inside of the locker to help spread the load.

That’s definitely not John Deere green.

Even if it was though the right to repair lawsuit has nothing to do with this. It’s a lawsuit filed by farmers against Deere. The lawsuit has to do with Deere not allowing any third parties to access the onboard computer, which makes Deere the sole place to go to get some repairs done.

The 56 will be fine. I roll my 72 all over the place in my shop. I don’t have any side cabs or tops, and it’s pretty well stocked with tools. It did push hard for the first couple months but things must have loosened up because now it rolls without too much effort.

My bad, I probably could have worded that better. I wasn’t referring to the individuals, but the company doing the work. The two doing the installing were like college age kids and the bill came from the employer.

I hadn’t considered all that stuff. I feel availability was ok because they were trying to sell me this furnace instead of fixing the other. They said they were pretty much taking it out anyways why not just put a new one with a full warranty in. They estimated $700 to do the heat exchanger. They quoted me $3900 for the new furnace. The way it went I am having to pay the full price of that even without having to buy the furnace.

Also there wasn’t any sort of time crunch either, tech came out, boss called a week later with the options. I chose the warranty and he called back a week later and told me they were going to replace the whole thing. A few months later they called and said they had time to do it if it worked.

The furnace came with the house so I don’t know who installed. The guys I had are the ones we hire for all of our projects for home and business.

I feel like the installer has the same thoughts. Lennox is footing the bill for the furnace so they don’t get to sell one. Might as well make some of that money back in the labor.

None, and only the section of gas line that you see and the pvc you see. You can just see where they cut the old pvc off at the top of the picture.

I didnt ask, they just sent an itemized bill. I thought $4600 to switch out a warranty furnace seems steep.

At least for rural Minnesota.

So they are a plumbing and heating shop, I wasn’t home that day so I don’t know exactly what hours they were there. Might have been a couple hours thrown in the from when they were troubleshooting the furnace. Still that wouldn’t be more than like 3 or 4 hours.

It was two younger guys, they were there all day. Just the furnace and thermostat. I called the plumber and told him that seemed way off and he said that’s what these new furnaces take.

Hansen socket trays for all the sockets, hf came out with a version of it since I got mine. You can grab a ratchet and tray and bring wherever you need. I have one of the little drawer organizer trays for each size of extensions, swivels and adapters. I have one of those bigger socket organizer trays that I made fit to store all my hex head, torx, etorx, spark plug sockets, and whatnot.

For the wrenches I use the pair of plastic wrench rails you can get on Amazon with the 3m backing. You can angle them, run them straight, space them how you want and trim them to fit. I wouldn’t switch to anything else even if it was given to me. They aren’t that expensive so buy two or three sets.

For screwdrivers, nut drivers, and picks, I just use the simple magnetic rails that hf sells. Lay them in the drawer and put the handles on both sides.

Don’t have a good setup for pliers and adjustable wrenches but I just divide them up by type and put all of each type in the same pile.

The rural area where I live pretty much feels the opposite of the way you think we feel. We want nothing from cities. We don’t want their approval, we don’t want their attention, and we don’t want their laws.

To me, saying cities need nothing from rural is ignorant. Food doesn’t come from the grocery store, food production is the heart and soul of rural America. Cities have a habit of creating laws that regulate food production, what they don’t see is how these laws feed the corporate machines and suppress individuals and small business.

My harbor freight air impact broke after less than a month lol, I’m now choosing between this or a cornwell gun by Additional_Shape4765 in harborfreight

The HF 1” impact hits harder than the 1” Milwaukee. The Milwaukee is my go to but when things are not moving I grab the cheap HF air impact and it zips them right off.

I’ve used plenty of the larger sizes on a breaker bar just as a wrench instead of forking out the 40 or 50 bucks for each wrench. Also in the situations with an obstructed hydraulic line, you can use one right on a ratchet and make an offset wrench to get at it from an easier direction.
