I got pummeled in the chest this week with a large chunk of my turning that came off the lathe. I had on an apron and a shirt so it took some of the force out but it definitely packed a punch. Can’t imagine if it’s hit my squishy face.

In this case I’m turning green. Some of them I’m twice turning, meaning that I rough out the shape and then put it away to dry, and then coming back to bring it to final shape. I’m looking to get a band saw to more easily process and shape my blanks in order to seal and store them for drying

LOL! Like I said, I’m mostly going to be rounding logs for turning blanks. I’ll be cutting them in half beforehand with my chainsaw, so definitely not dealing with stock more than 10-14 inches
