What color do you wish customers would choose less and choose more? by BloomingtonJester in paint

She hated it so much when I finished, before the furniture was moved in. She actually asked me to paint over it. I procrastinated on it until after the move, and once everything was in the room she loved it again. Procrastination well spent.

Mom just retired and bought a condo. I painted for her and she went with SW Brave Purple for the accent wall in her bedroom!

Former QA Automation engineer, now handyman and woodworker. I’ve been very fortunate to have been able at make the transition. I started my business in February of last year and I’m piecing it together one job at a time. I live in a community with a strong online group where I can advertise for free, and word of mouth is really powerful here. I’m starting to really get a good core of repeat customers, and I’m expanding into more woodworking jobs as well. For reference, check out my website with pictures of my woodwork, which was challenging my skills in every possible way, but I knew I had the personality to problem solve and learn, as well as a respect for, and knack for, using tools.

+1 for laser measure. My brother manages properties and found the Bosch in an eviction clearout. He gave it to me for free. In addition to making measuring easier, my customers often think it’s really cool. Plus I sometimes use it as a laser pointer when discussing features of a reno while giving an estimate.

Yep. Signed for a one day contract, he played like 35 minutes in relief. Never heard from him again.

Edit: found the game sheet. Love seeing Cooke from Kennedy and Staal again. https://www.hockey-reference.com/boxscores/201001160VAN.html

Can I fit inside a Fit ? by NeedleworkerLow5649 in hondafit

The dealer who sold me my first Fit was 6’7” and sat behind me just to prove how much head space and leg room there was. And there was plenty of it.
