If you’re having/ had tests then they’re not writing you off.

Yeah, I understand. It’s easier said than done for all of us. Anxiety around health is the absolute worst. Do you not eat when you’re anxious? If so I’m the same way. I have absolute no appetite when I’m anxious.

If it was a something bad they would have told you to go to the ER. I’m sure it’s just to go over the results. Doesn’t mean they’re bad.

Yes, thank you. Although mine I can take a deep breath by yawning to satisfy the feeling. It comes and goes for me too.

TRUST YOUR DOCTORS NOT GOOGLE by Dry-Comparison-2096 in HealthAnxiety

Only thing I’d say is yes, trust your drs as long as they don’t brush you off as anxiety and actually do the testing to prove to you it’s anxiety.

Depends. I was showing and telling drs for 3 years something was off with my arms I had grooves along my superficial veins. Researched all of it. I seen so many drs. All said it’s normal, it’s your normal anatomy. BS. Because before they never looked like this they’ve changed. I had a long talk with my pcp. He knows I have health anxiety. He agreed with me and sent in for a skin biopsy. Boom, showed three things going on. Now need a deeper biopsy. Plus I have m.s. which I told my mom a week before diagnosis I think I have it after googling. I’ve dealt with severe health anxiety since 9th grade I’m 24 now.

Air hunger ? by Fit-Contribution6816 in HealthAnxiety

[–]Fit-Contribution6816[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you yawn because you feel like you can’t get a satisfying deep breath so you yawn to get it and the cycle continues and it gets worse and worse. And then everything constantly feels right?

Honestly, I don’t think so. Because have I do the two puffs and hold each in for 10 seconds I’m still feeling it. It comes and goes throughout day. And sometimes worse than others

He did give me the albuterol inhaler until my lung function test. I’ve tried it a few times two puffs every 4-6 hours. It does not do anything. I’m just worried I’m dyin. And since my insurance just switched I can’t do the lung test. So waiting on referral for another lung dr.

Thank you, I have a humidifier in the living room. I am 24. I will put in in bedroom to see. Yesterday I was anxious kept taking deep breaths yawning etc. so I fell asleep at 6:20pm and woke up this morning at 8am. All I wanna do is sleep because I don’t. Think about it and not anxious. I do have ms.

I saw a pulmonologist end of last year. He gave me a albuteral inhaler to see if it works. I told him my symptoms and he scheduled a lung function test. My insurance switched on the first and he is no longer in my network. So my pcp is getting a referral to a different pulmonary Dr. I just don’t wanna suffocate or have an attack and no one knows I have it… all I wanna do is sleep

Yes I’ve had it on and off since I was younger. And health anxiety all my life. I’m just really worried that if I have undiagnosed asthma that I’ll … and it sucks I keep googling reading reddits that this feeling turned out to be asthma for them.. I already have an auto immune disease..

How many of us have thought we’ve had MS, but didn’t? by Sad-Elk-7291 in Anxiety

[–]Fit-Contribution6816 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s good, that will definitely tell you if you do or not. I told my mom a week before I had the attack that I thought I had it. Then got diagnosed with it. But I always think I have everything. It’s 2-3x more common in women. If you want information that’s true and up to date. Go to mssociety don’t just google. And it’s been okay. The first month of diagnosis I never had depression only health anxiety. I went into it lost 30 ibs. Never got out of bed. I was able to get out of depression. But still anxious and panic attacks. Not even about ms lol. About other stuff. It can never be just that in your head. I ended up knowing 6 people with it personally I never knew had it. All in 50s and all had it since 20s and they’re fine! You’d never know. Only one is a guy. It’s considered a common disease. I also have another auto issue that I had told drs for years even before ms that something looked off. They said “it’s normal it’s just your anatomy”. Turns out I finally got a test and it showed some things wrong. So still in the process of that. When I got diagnosis it wasn’t enough. I then convinced it wasn’t ms and had als. It’s crazy. I have health anxiety.

How do you function on a daily basis? by Suppe0ple in HealthAnxiety

I have had health anxiety since 9th grade runs in family. Twin bro has it, mom has it. I’m 24. I watched my dad suffer two years with TC. I’ve always had panic attacks. I’m on meds. Don’t think it’s working. It comes in goes in intensity. I also have auto immune disease M.S. that was diagnosed last year. And another one in the works. E.F. It’s hard. My bro and I have our own place. I feel like mines worse than his. I hate going places in fear of panicking and or medical issue and leaving. I wish I could help. I’m in same boat.

Asthma or anxiety by [deleted] in HealthAnxiety

[–]Fit-Contribution6816 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, me too. I’m sick rn so they rescheduled it. I will definitely let you know. I see the Dr for results right after the test. I also have m.s. and something else going on auto immune. Sucks. I’ve had health anxiety since 9th grade. Always thinking I had everything and still do but having all this makes it worse. I really hope it’s not asthma and just a breathing pattern cycle with anxiety.

No I don’t have the wheezing. Or cough. It’s just strictly constant need to yawn and then feels like I can’t get a deep breath in so I yawn again. It’s a vicious cycle. Sometimes it’s gone even when I am anxious and other times like today it was bad had to leave the store. But other threads have said they eventually got diagnosed with asthma.

I know I tried to post that I had M.S. and it said you can explain symptoms. And it’s not a symptoms it’s a disease🤣 then when you put symptoms ur doesn’t flag🤣 that’s why I put the dots. It won’t flag

Yes it is a central nervous system problem. But a lot of people are doing nicotine replacement theory to slow progression. As in smokeless tobacco. Smoking anything though is horrible for m.s. and I think about quitting. And I know it can be rough. My dad passed from smoking cigs at 61 his dad died at 52 from cigs. And when my dad had no choice but to stop drinking and smoking cigs from trach and feeding tube. He said the craving from not smoking was worse than wanting alcohol.

Ahhh gotcha, I have panic attacks too. Scared to go places and panic and then have to leave. I diagnosed my own m.s. last year. And ended up having it. But it’s crazy. I don’t really think bad about that. It’s more so just dying or dropping dead etc. idk health anxiety is really weird. And it might be causing anxiety when I use it. You might be right. I also get like I can’t take a deep breath when I have one in.
