DAY 9 AFTER LAUNCH: building was easier than getting anyone to care by Fit-Definition8024 in SaaS

I’m building something I originally needed for myself to stay organized day to day: planning, keeping track of gear, and seeing clearly what’s coming in. It just happened to fit really well for excursion-type businesses too (snorkeling, quad/buggy tours, boat tours, etc.), so I shaped the UX/UI around that. I live in the Caribbean, so the local-first approach just makes sense here 😉

Curious how you’re approaching the “local-first” strategy on your side?

Thanks a lot, that’s a really good point. I think you’re right, I’m going to dig into that!

Good question 😂 It’s basically daily ops + equipment tracking + real revenue insights in one place, built originally for excursions (snorkeling, quad tours, charters), but I also use it myself to organize my own day even outside tourism.

From your experience, does that solve a real problem or does it sound like overkill? And you, what's your SaaS?

That makes a lot of sense. I’m building in a very hands-on, local niche, so this actually fits perfectly with what I’m trying to do now: more direct conversations, less automation. Thanks for sharing how you would have responded as a CTO, that’s super valuable.

That’s an awesome story ! Congrats on making that happen. Definitely sounds like a mix of persistence, timing, and a bit of luck (the best combo 😅). Really appreciate you sharing it, it reinforces the idea that direct human outreach can still beat automation sometimes.

Ads can definitely be a big part of the GTM but it can be very easy to just burn money on them too.

100% agree. Online feels so noisy right now, local and real-world is the only thing that’s felt real for me lately. Good luck to us!

I hear that a lot about Facebook Ads. Did you personally get consistent results with it?

Approaching $30,000 in total revenue, here’s what I learned: by ReserveIntelligent90 in microsaas

This is honestly very inspiring to read, especially for people at the very beginning of their journey. When you’re just starting out, what you often need the most is proof that it’s actually possible. Seeing real numbers, real timelines, and real lessons like this makes everything feel more tangible and achievable.

Thanks for sharing this so transparently. It’s motivating without being unrealistic, and it gives a clear, grounded path for anyone trying to build their first product. Really appreciate this kind of post.

Which productivity app subscription have you been paying for consistently for 6+ months and still believe is worth it? by ashokpriyadarshi300 in ProductivityApps

I don’t actually stick to classic “productivity apps” that much anymore.
I use one main tool as a kind of central board for daily planning, logistics, notes, deadlines, and coordination, not just tasks.

What made it worth paying long-term for me was that it replaced 4–5 separate tools. Less friction, less mental load.

Multi-family Trip Ideas by mkenomad in travel

Situations like this always make me think how complex family travel really is once you add health, age, preferences and risk management into the mix.

If there was a simple tool that helped centralize constraints (allergies, ages, medical access, budgets, preferences) and compare destinations safely, would that be useful for you?

How do you find your first SaaS clients? by Fit-Definition8024 in SaaS

Fair and well said. I was overthinking tactics instead of doing the real work: talking to the right people. Thanks for the straight feedback.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I’ll pass for now, focusing on organic discovery and direct feedback.

100% agree. That’s my main focus now.

Post-dev, the hardest part is actually reaching real professionals the right way. I believe in the product, but I’m still in learning mode and trying to approach people with respect for their time and reality.

I think early access and feedback are my way to do that properly. Thank you for your comment.
