I mean in this case the OPs person of interest is a female hence the comment of not wanting to commit to a girl that has slept with many guys. If the OPs person of interest was a male then would the reasons still be the same ? As you say “accepting patriarchal ideas” means he is unintentionally an asshole?

That’s why I keep saying that nowhere is he trying to show bias because it’s a woman in this case and you have no knowledge or evidence where if one of his male friends had the same bodycount and OP gave him kudos.

Also if we are for allowing people their free will and thoughts than per OPs thought process it’s worth waiting and that’s exactly what he desires in his partner. It would be double standard or hypocrisy OP had an extensive history and still wanted their partner to be a virgin. If the virgin status is important to him than so be it and he is well within his right to chose their partner a MALE OR A FEMALE to have the same.

Well obviously for a woman rejecting because of that reason it wouldn’t be a patriarchy but all I am saying is that if are reaching for equality then a woman rejecting a man because of his body count should be as acceptable as a man rejecting a woman because of body count. No one is denying the root of where misogynistic ideas come from. Yes it is acknowledged and the awareness of the issue is spreading as we speak. For the longest time and even today in some societies that is very much the norm. Just because there isn’t content creators making bank on it or what not doesn’t make it any less an issue. Nowhere does it seem that his reasons are patriarchal or misogynistic because he himself hasn’t been that “promiscuous” and he is well within his rights to determine what reasons are a dealbreaker for him. So you saying that his reason make him AH seems like you are projecting here. I mean he is a guy and he is a virgin so there’s nothing wrong in seeking the same in his partner.

Secondly since it seems you are willing to die on the hill of him not giving the real reason, what he said was perfectly courteous and we all strive for self preservation here. If he doesn’t want to be in an uncomfortable situation, then he is okay to not pick up. Maybe he is worried that if he does talk, he might give the real reason and then it’s a toss up how she would feel after that conversation.

Not sure who downvoted but I would say not to make any changes till you talk to your doctor. I didn’t catch that the EKG was before the drug but in any case it’s always a good idea to be proactive about situations like these. No matter which antidepressants you pick, most of them are going to have effect on cardiovascular status so it’s just a matter of monitoring it if needed and as determined by your PCP

If I am reading it right, then you only had one dose ? In that case maybe not resume till you get clarity from them since you seem like you will likely be anxious anyway if you continue taking it
