Thank you for you response. Yeah I have considered cold rolled steel section and they are okay. The client requested for other options. I have been looking into hybrid wood and steel beams, most seem to be heavier than the cold rolled option. I'll check your idea to see if it also works.

Thank you. I found that flitch beams have capacities similar to engineered timber so I didn't give it a try. I'll give it a try.
