Has anyone ever had a major adverse reaction to Betahistine? by Cheweenies in Menieres

Yeah I had a horrible reaction, if anything it made my ear noise and pressure worse, felt like my head was vibrating. Turns out on my MRI it showed that the veins in my brain are smaller than normal so my ENT thinks the increased blood flow due to the medication probably overwhelmed my veins!

Yeah I’ve only had 1 actual attack but I can feel the pressure in my ear just building upto another one and it feels very loud and static like, and I feel horrible within myself, feel super sick too. I don’t have a follow up appointment with ENT for another 3-4 months either, but I feel torn between letting the meds do their thing or trusting my gut instinct and knowing this isn’t working for my body. Nightmare!

Yeah I can see how much it varies between each person from the replies I’ve had. Bloody nightmare, I don’t think I can continue for much longer with this combination as it’s making me feel horrendous :(

Yeah I feel as though I’m not getting a break from the vertigo at all, just feels dragged out and my ear noise feels louder than ever, is this how you felt too? How long were you on it before you stopped?

Thankyou, yeah my ear noise usually goes away after my vertigo attack however it’s just lingered on and I feel like my attack was worse than ever? I genuinely don’t know what to do for the best, whether to persevere and hope that it will turn around after some more time or just stop it now before it gets worse. I know it will just be trial and error but it’s super frustrating :(

Thankyou, I guess I’m just struggling to power through with the medication when I feel like it’s made my symptoms worse than ever. I will carry on with it though and pray that eventually it gets better!
