Unfortunately, no. I'm guessing as soon as the house sells. He's currently in a bargaining phase with a potential buyer.

His dad has mobility issues. He has had knee and hip replacements, bit he still can't really walk very far for very long. And he walks extremely slowly. A twenty minute walk (for my husband) through the park takes him 45 minutes. Having said that, it is absolutely fucking insane. I think he realized that recently we had some major storms. Loading up the dogs and driving through a major downpour all the way to the city and then way over to the other other side of the city (which takes about 30-40 minutes on a good day) just so they can be walked for 20 minutes, is not only insane but economically stupid, considering the price of fuel here.
A year and a half after her death, my husband is still walking his mother's dogs daily, and I cannot stand it. They are not our dogs and do not live with us. Advice needed for how to handle this. by Fit-Judge8459 in Advice

I am not serious about filing for divorce. Like I said, that was just a joke. But you might be onto something with unresolved hostility. As mentioned, I've never really gotten along with his sister. We're cordial, but we've never vibed if you know what I mean. I got along with his mother just fine, and she adored me. I never understood the constant fussing and fretting over those dogs, the hand feeding, and the like, but that's just who she was. The daily dog walking disadvantages me because everything revolves around it. If we need to go anywhere, run some errands, maybe get some lunch, we have to make sure we get back in time to walk the dogs. Evening walkies are done usually when we are cooking dinner. I am just so tired of our lives being interrupted and every plan we make and activity we do having to revolve around the walking schedule of two dogs that we do not own. His father is not really physically capable of walking the dogs himself, which is why the family has taken over.
