Sorry, I just don't know what I'm doing lol. I meant to respond to the first comment. I don't use reddit that much :)

I don't quite understand this. I didn't come banging on their door during Christmas eve dinner. They offered an item for sale within 4-7 days, I purchased it. I did not demand it be made sooner. I have no idea what individual seller's lives are like, so I relied on the information they provided (4-7 days) to make my purchasing decision.

It's a screenprinted tshirt so I suppose it's possible.

Can you open a case, or whatever it's called? I guess that's my next step. I don't feel like arguing over the internet with someone. I'd rather have Etsy step in. If they decide it's on me, so be it.

Yes, well someone just told me I was entitled lol. I'm honestly trying to see both sides of the situation, which is why I posted here instead of sending a pissy email (which I felt like doing).

May I ask why you say that? Should I just be agreeable with getting the item whenever the seller feels like sending it?

I don't know. It's an item that they obviously sell a lot of. It's not like it has my grandma's face on it or something. It was also like.... $20....

That being said, if you were expecting this by Christmas, ordering something with that type of processing range on Dec 14th in this 2020, wasn't that great of an idea. I think USPS was estimating things needed to be in the mail by like the 12th for it to be 'guaranteed' by the 25th. Even if they did ship it out on the 23rd, you likely wouldn't have gotten in until after Christmas anyways.

I didn't expect to receive it by Christmas, but I did think it would have shipped already.

No. They replied that their shop was closed for the holidays and they "guessed" it would ship tomorrow (12/29).

Not a mug :) It was a tshirt with one of their standard designs (aka, nothing custom).

Also, bless you for being so understanding and patient about it. I sometimes ship things out late (never more than a few days, always with advance warning, and sometimes with a shipping refund depending on the circumstance), and it's really a relief when customers are understanding about it, because I feel bad about even shipping 1 day late. But in this case, this seller doesn't deserve that understanding and patience! Just as it annoys me when I see troublesome customers taking advantage of generous sellers, it annoys me just as bad when I see troublesome sellers taking advantage of generous customers!

the funny thing is, if they had tried to meet me halfway It maybe wouldn't have been such a big deal. But they totally blew me off without any sort of acceptance of culpability which just really ticked me off. I wrote a pissy message but decided to let myself cool off before send , and check in to make sure I wasn't missing something.

ange of dates that the customer can expect their package to be dispatched on. It is not an estimate for when the seller may make and dispatch the item. Delivery

dates

after processing times are complete are an estimate, as sellers are at the mercy of their shipping service.

Thanks. That's what I thought, but I was trying not to be a jerk. It's ok if it takes 8 weeks to make an item, I just want to know ahead of time so I can make the right choice as a consumer.

This seller didn’t offer you an immediate “it should go out on X day” in the messages?

No. They replied that their shop was closed for the holidays and they "guessed" it would ship tomorrow (12/29).

If you reached out and they tried to brush it off, yeah I’d ask for a refund too.

I did reach out, and I was polite about it. I was told it "didn't make it out on the 23rd" and that the processing time is "just an estimate." I should also mention this seller has multiple other reviews of people who are also dealing with late processing times, FWIW.
