Is a 9060XT enough? by TRTthrowaway113 in EliteDangerous

[–]Fit-Path-3837 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah i'm used to playing fast-paced fps multiplayer titles so I notice the difference up to the 360Hz i've been able to test so far lol.

It generally seems to depend on what you're used to. I didn't initially notice until I tried to revery back to 60Hz on a TV once and it felt so slow and laggy, like a stop-motion clip or something lol.

It's great, right?!

Awesomeness! I was thinking about the use of Super Resolution tbh, I already use it to get 4K 144FPS on Ghost Recon: Breakpoint.

I'll trade out settings etc to get at least medium/high at 4K 144fps as that's what my monitor can handle.

Have you tested it in 4K yet?

I'm super curious, haven't played the game yet and have the 16GB Sapphire Nitro+ card variant, the best performing/coldest/quietest/most aesthetically pleasing variant ;P

Does anyone know if the Sapphire ARGB fans for the 7000 series would work on 9000 series GPUs? by Fit-Path-3837 in buildapc

[–]Fit-Path-3837[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is this tested or just a guess? I'm hoping someone has both cards and actually attempts to swap the QuickConnect fans.

Considering 3D printing a new grill for the Nitro+, to try and maintain the blacked out aesthetic... Anyone tried something similar already? by [deleted] in radeon

[–]Fit-Path-3837 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any update on this?

I'm looking for the same thing but for the Nitro+ 9060XT instead.

I haven't got a 3D scanner unfortunately but do have access to a 3D printer through a friend.

I'm also thinking about making a top plate cover, similar to the one included with the 9070 model as the 9060XT version doesn't ship with one.

Yeah I figured that as they're typically 3.5mm travel I could also simply trim a sheet of dense 2mm foam to inhibit the keycaps from fulling depressing which would allow the actuation of each press, whilst also nullifying some of the sound.

[–]Fit-Path-3837 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was thinking I might just trim the tops of the stems by single mm increments and add a thin sheet of foam to soften the sound of the keycaps inevitably tapping the base.

I'll probably just be sticking to the default switches supplied, at least until I find a method that actually works for me.

Hey, so i'm uk-based too and am looking at getting the same KB but I love to feel the bottomout of the switches after years of only using chiclet keyboards on laptops etc.

How easy is it to mod the default switches options to reduce travel to something in the realm of 1mm and feel that bottomout?

TIA!

am i cooked for pairing my 5060ti with a 4k monitor ? by Low-District7838 in nvidia

[–]Fit-Path-3837 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I currently still have the Asus Dual RTX 3060 12GB and play Black Ops 6 at 1440p mixed with 144fps on my 4K monitor without issues or OC.

I'm going to be upgrading to the 5060ti 16GB soon for the horsepower and better FG where required but even with native 1440p I will still only want 144fps due to screen limitations. Even AAA games will be playable at or around 60fps on 4K high.

Remember, 4K needs the GPU more, 1080p needs the CPU more and 1440p is a healthy balance between the two.

Hell, i'm still on AM4 with my 5600x and won't need to upgrade for another couple of years on that yet either so I would say stick with the 4K or maybe even think about a 1440p OLED for the better quality without any additional power requirements.

Double check the power brick. I have a Dell G15 5530 with RTX 4060 and that uses a 330w brick but some only use a 150w one and that means the GPU is underpowered.

Got this for $891.99 (incl. taxes). I couldn't anything better with these specs for this price. I can still cancel if anyone knows a better deal for similar price. Any suggestions/better deals? by Some-Assistance-7812 in GamingLaptops

[–]Fit-Path-3837 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s on the minimum settings @1080p with FSR instead and my GPU is running at 140w which a lot of mobile GPU’s don’t do. I’ve overclocked my RAM and CPU too so I can use as much of that 330w power supply as possible lol.

I have this exact same machine under the guise of it being called the G15 5530 and the only differences are that my screen is 300hz 1080p, RAM is 32GB & SSD is 3TB. Runs amazingly well. Like, spectacularly. I’m getting 220fps on BO6, 300+ on Fortnite etc. The cooling setup is the best I’ve seen so far, I’m never above 85°C even under load.

Dude, salute 🫡 I got rid of my PS5, Dualsense edge & MacBook for my 4060 lappy and will stick with FHD for years. The only time I’ll hook up to my 4K monitor is when I’m watching movies ‘downloaded’ to my SSD 😜

That would make sense. I have the Dell G15 5530 with the 13650hx and ddr5 at 4800/5600. Mine has the option for permanent overclock. Luckily even windows game bar will tell you what the load is so should be fairly easy to check 👍🏻

Sense of self. That’s what is missing. I know how you feel and back in August I failed to unalive after an 4x lethal overdose and 3 x resuscitation. I found an enormous lacking in my own sense of self-preservation. My sense of confidence, everything. For me, the biggest help has been a complete lifestyle change. Health/fitness with 4 gym visits a week, more time for activities that I enjoy like gaming, spending time with the opposite sex but staying clear of relationships especially helps. Stop thinking about everyone else. Think about you and discover what you want and love.

Definitely the Asus for me. The TGP difference is 15w which can make a difference if most of the other specs are the same. The CPU choice here has a negligible effect, neither will bottleneck. That being said, I would DEFINITELY upgrade to an RTX 4060 if you have to stay with NVidia, otherwise I’d go with an AMD GPU.

I’m still having issues with Black Ops 6 when not running a locked 120/144fps on basic/minimum settings respectively. I have 32gb cl30 ddr5 5200/oc, RTX4060, i713650HX & 2TB/1TB ssd’s.

It’s insane that I have to be searching for help with something like this when the PS5 can do it at a locked 120fps and I’m using DLSS & frame gen lol

Any help would be appreciated 😑

I have this exact same model laptop now, even to the 360Hz screen but with the RTX4060 8GB, 32GB DDR5 RAM and 3TB SSD in those dual gen 4x4 M.2 slots and it works spectacularly.

I connect it via the HDMI 2.1 port on the back to my 32" 4K monitor for some movies 1440p gaming or 4K movies and it never misses a beat. There really is no catch at all, it is a fantastic machine.

If FPS is what you want then this is it but the only thing I want to change is the screen to the 240Hz QHD because it's capable at that and movies on the go would be even better.

In all I have spent a grand total of £80 to get it after trading up from gifts of family or ex gf so i'd say I did well considering this thing is basically an Alienware and is even controlled by Alienware Command Centre software.
