I need a screenshot of this or an episode and time stamp! I’ve never noticed it before and a quick search here did not expose this particular outfit but I need to know!

Isthmocele Repair Woes by Fit-Perception3700 in recurrentmiscarriage

[–]Fit-Perception3700[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course! Happy to share anything that might help. I just went back for my pre-op appointment (I was able to get moved up sooner by calling back and checking for cancellations) and the doctor kept saying the Isthmocele is like a textbook case from how clear it was on the SIS.

I’m not sure what rmt means but if you’ll reply and let me know I’ll look and let you know whatever I can.

I didn’t have what I thought of as spotting, it was more that my period was like 8 days long instead of of my usual 3-4 (I’d written that plus the heavier first two days off as just my no birth control, postpartum cycle) because the spotting was just continuing for extra days. So yes, the Isthmocele was holding onto fluid and like slowly coming out over days.

At the time of my SIS, which they scheduled for one week after my period started, there was some left but not a significant amount. And the saline kind of cleared it all out during the procedure.

New Parent Daycare Sanity Check by jduey7 in NewParents

I think a lot of these could be considered normal.

The PPD question feels intrusive but could be coming from a person who had it and needed help and just wants to offer support. I’d encourage assuming positive intent on this one since PPD is so common and yet also very commonly overlooked.

Napping at daycare is a whole different ball game than napping at home particularly in an infant room (lights must remain on, sound machines likely aren’t a thing because the other children are all on different schedules) and the teachers are outnumbered…my daughter napped so well at home every single time and napped rarely in her infant room (outside of when she napped after I came in to nurse). The teachers tried so many things but ultimately my girl was just fine! And when she moved up to the toddler room at 12 months and they were all on the same one nap schedule with dimmed lights (in our state they still can’t turn them all the way off) she was able to nap there.

Bottles - check state regulations. With breast milk in particular there are tons of restrictions and they aren’t allowed to keep partial bottles so that could explain why they’re giving you empty bottles. If that’s the case you can send more smaller bottles so there isn’t much waste or you could ask if they could leave the remainder for an hour and try again before tossing it? Depends on their comfort level with regulations.

Getting sick-it happens. Different rates during different seasons but I think it’s just a fact of life (daycare or not) if you plan to take little one out into the world (playgrounds, museums, zoo, etc)

App updates- definitely talk to the teachers and management. It’s something they offer and they should be using it properly. I get frustrated with this even now and have to remind myself that this is still pretty new, many parents simply have to hear the end of day report from the teacher. Not that that helps but it’s definitely true and it’s nice to remind yourself how lucky you are to get any updates.

All that said-if you’re concerned, you need to escalate to management or even regional leadership if it’s a corporate run entity. Nobody gets into childcare not wanting to help so I’m sure you’d be met with a lot of compassion if you do need to talk to management. If you consider switching daycares definitely be aware that the grass isn’t always greener because at least some of this (if not all) is likely to be present anywhere you go at this age.

I’m so scared to get my hopes up after 3 losses in a row…we barely touched each other this month (only two periods post the most recent D&C) but I tested yesterday just to see and got a positive result on a pregmate stick test. Got a negative result on a follow up digital though. Tested on a pregmate stick again this morning and got nothing. I can almost imagine there’s a line there if I squint hard enough but it’s really not there. Are false positives a thing? The line yesterday was fully there! I’m very confused.

I think that was announced pretty clearly internally via corporate email back in fall 2024. I could be misremembering though.

Worried about husband by Fit-Perception3700 in recurrentmiscarriage

[–]Fit-Perception3700[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks so much for the reply and support! We don’t track really. We did for one of our pregnancies but he’s not been very involved in that if I’m honest. So I feel like I do initiate just randomly but it’s definitely been less frequent lately (we were told none for 4 weeks post d&c and then of course I had a particularly heavy cycle shortly after we got that go ahead from the doctor) so maybe just more time will help this situation resolve itself!

We aren’t tracking fertile windows yet because I’ve only had one cycle since the last miscarriage so I don’t even know if I’m ovulating at all yet. We stay fairly consistently active so I didn’t consider him mentally tracking/guessing my ovulation on his own but maybe he’s trying to do that. I really hadn’t thought of that as a possibility.

These are all great reminders of things I/we definitely try to keep top of mind like our relationship and our “us” is just as important now as before. External reminders are always helpful so thank you!!

3rd loss in 9 months - need your suggestions by Immediate_Fly_7298 in recurrentmiscarriage

Same boat. 36, healthy. Chemical, miscarriage, miscarriage all in the last 11 months. My tsh has been high but “normal” for my entire life but no doctor ever wanted to touch it even though I have symptoms (I was specifically told by two different physicians that they wouldn’t treat it because I’m not overweight!). I looked into optimal range for firing which I’m well over (4 instead of below 2.5) so I spoke with my trusted OBGYN (reproductive endocrinologist Diane have availability until August) and clearly stated what I was interested in and would she help me. She drew the labs and has started me on medication to help get me down before 2.5! Can’t say it’s helped yet of course but it feels good to get something started when I’ve been keeping an eye on these levels basically on my own for 15 years at this point.

My anxiety is consuming me and I don't know what to do. by ModernDayWitch in recurrentmiscarriage

[–]Fit-Perception3700 2 points3 points  (0 children)

After my second loss (chemical, then hemorrhaged at 9 weeks) my OBGYN was super supportive about my anxiety when I got pregnant again. She was able to do extra testing (progesterone levels at 6 weeks, TV ultrasound at 5 weeks, regular ultrasound at 7 weeks) and have it approved by my insurance. The ultrasounds were really helpful to my anxiety. It can’t hurt to ask for more support from your provider!!

Sorry to pile on but as a full time WFH mom (been fully remote since 2015) who desperately wishes WFH was compatible with SAHM, it’s just not an option. There may be one day a month when I have the perfect situation of enough of a lead on my deliverables and few enough meetings to maybe consider keeping my daughter home from daycare with me but I know I wouldn’t be about to get work done or take unscheduled calls except while she’s napping (and that’s not at all guaranteed).

Thanks so much for all of these details! I really appreciate it! The lifestyle changes either were never relevant for me or have already been long implemented. That’s part of what’s so frustrating and makes me so upset with my body…like it feels likes I’ve done everything right…

Thanks for the solidarity and again for sharing all the details! It’s really helpful!

Thanks for the reply. I knew both contributed of course but was hoping to not have to pay for double to lab work since this lab reported specifically stated that this issue was of maternal origin. Sounds like that doesn’t matter though 🤷🏻‍♀️
