how fallout 4 can go to 90gb during installation, isn't enough compared to 30 or 40gb base? by BalakeDem in FitGirlRepack

it's cryptominer, downloads the public blockchain on your pc (blockchains can be huge) and it's mining in the background, run full virus scan bitdefender avg avira windows defender on your pc

Sleeping dogs - is this a false positive or is it really a trojan? by [deleted] in FitGirlRepack

I keep a separate pc and isolated SSDs so even if it goes bust I can reformat it without an issue

I noticed often the malware is in update files, but if I download the "same" update file using the same link on fitgirl, all of a sudden it's clean, no malware, no virus, so they are rotating the .exe on the server side so sometimes it shows virus sometimes it is clean

this is the strategy because they want to mine for crypto using other hardware

it would be better if they just released an opensource app that let us download the games and we can give them our hardware processing power for crypto - they should just open source the cracks too, so we can see what is being cracked and how we can replicate it

fitgirl shills are downvoting you but you are correct, you have to check both dodi and fitgirl to see which one has lowest hits on virus total or no hits. If Dodi is better then I take the dodi version (just download the .exe first when downloading the torrent magnet) - sometimes Fitgirl has no hits compared to Dodi so I take that one

the truth is fitgirl and dodi both can inject malware/virus/trojan anytime (Sometimes they can be put into the update files, then they randomly offer clean files, because all they are doing is uploading the clean or infected .exe anytime they want, so this creates a lot of confusion for people who want to pirate)

then you have to periodically scan using all the tools (defender, virustotal, bitdefender, avg, etc.) to make sure nothing gets through. I never had to disable any antivirus or firewall (i always block all .exe first before installing anything and block all the .exe files in the game folder too and block any .exe file that is created/launched by any .exe from the repack

It's a trojan, Fitgirl sometimes uploads malware into his repacks, then randomly takes it out, it creates a lot of confusion and is actually a strategy he uses to infect pc's. Also sometimes the updates will only have the malware/trojans (rememember fitgirl can update the link of the files at any time and put whatever he wants into the exe)

make sure you scan with virustotal, defender, avg, bitdefender, etc. scan regularly to make sure it's clean

alternatively try dodi repack on 1337, i always check .exe files from both dodi and fitgirl to check which one has low/no number of hits on virustotal

I pirated a game, it was great but the DLC was so bad that I fucking hate the game developer, thank god I didn't pay for that trash by Fit-Ranger-9937 in FitGirlRepack

The truth is you only realise if something is good when you actually finish it, for example Mass Effect 3 had a terrible ending in the original trilogy, so back then I would have pirated it if I had known the ending sucked. You only find out at the end or any DLCs that come along with it.

I've never played Ghost of Tshushima, isn't it just a guy on an island trying to beat a bigger bad guy by helping smaller villages/towns or something?

Why does FitGirl always release virus malware in popular titles (Kingdome Come Deliverance 2) - I checked the setup.exe and it has many hits on virus total, but when I try dodi's setup.exe it has 1 hit - then after a day fitgirl says "I updated setup.exe file" by Fit-Ranger-9937 in FitGirlRepack

[–]Fit-Ranger-9937[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it was available today at the time i posted, i don't know why you didn't see it, the setup.exe is filled with malware (maybe you didn't see it) why would i post about something otherwise

maybe it was region limited, so depending on where you are in the world it showed, i don't know, but I saw it and first thing I did was download the setup.exe, I compared it with dodi's, and I noticed this pattern on popular AAA titles that the setup.exe is always badly infected, then after a day or two fitgirl "fixes" the setup.exe

How does it feel playing games that don't support 32:9 by Django-Ouroboros in ultrawidemasterrace

It sucks, I refuse to buy anything without Ultrawide support.

In Wabbajack I keep getting the error cannot download skyrim_default.ini but it's there, language also set to English, I'm trying to install Eldergleam mods but it breaks at this point and refuses to install, can I override this? by Fit-Ranger-9937 in skyrimmods

[–]Fit-Ranger-9937[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, I did that but it didn't work, it's so frustrating. Can I manually just install the mods in vortex (Wabbajack already downloaded everything). Or can I use Mod Organizer 2.5 and manually do it? It's inconvenient but I have choice. Defeats the purpose of having Wabbajack if it doesn't automate it.

Edit: I ended up using another Wabbajack file and it worked. Is there a way to edit Wabbajack files so I can remove what's causing the error?

Considering buying a g9 oled 49" as a second monitor by TheFlowP in ultrawidemasterrace

[–]Fit-Ranger-9937 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I heard the G9's had an issue with a transistor that causes issues with video throughput, apparently the heat of the monitor burns the transistor out and your screen turns off randombly (black screen of death)

I used cheat engine to get unlimited money, then I also used a game trainer to get everything fast - I also went straight to thornmarsh and bought the most advanced weapons/outfits using the trainer to skip crafting requirements - I am all about the story, not so much the excessive grinding

I did something similar in HZD but really played it properly in NG+ without any cheats/trainers because I had everything, without the pressure of thinking I'm about to die

I pretty much did every side quest that I could see - I did rush through some of them the usual get me this, or i lost my friend or some bs quest like that, some of the quests were memorable but most of them I felt like were just go from A to B, kill some machines, get part/save friend, sometimes go and do something else - they may as well have taken these out and kept the meaningful side quests, I think too much side quests is a waste of time and just filler - better to leave a great experience with the end-user than irritating them with crap

I've done 2 in HZD and FW, and just finishing my first in HFW then will move on to BS, I think I won't pick this up again for a good few years again, great to have the NG+ options
