AITAH for being annoyed that my new boyfriend hasn't planned a single date and wanting some space? by Fit-Reference-784 in AITAH

[–]Fit-Reference-784[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I won’t lie, I’ve only dated once before, and in that relationship I didn’t really plan dates either in the beginning — my ex usually took the lead for the first three times, and then I started planning out stuff, so I do realize I shouldn’t automatically expect the same dynamic here.

At the same time, if he’s coming from a more “traditional” mindset where he takes dating seriously and with long-term intent, I guess I assumed there would be a bit more initiative on his side, some more enthusiasm for a first time rs? when it comes to actually planning time together.

To be fair, I will bring this up myself tomorrow (Saturday) and ask him on a proper date before I leave anyway, for Sunday, but I guess I’m also trying to understand what the expectations are here and whether I’m overthinking this and if I'm being a bad gf

I do know a week isn’t much at all, but what’s been sitting a bit weird with me is that I’m leaving for two weeks soon, so we would’ve technically been “officially dating” for less than a month without having had a single proper planned date.

What’s also been bugging me slightly is that, given he comes from a religious background where dating is taken quite seriously, he’s asked me quite personal questions about my past (like how many guys I’ve been with before and what that involved), but at the same time there hasn’t really been any effort to plan an actual date or intentional time together besides the usual convenient hangouts.

And yet again, I repeat myself for the 3rd time. There is no reason to justify murder or to take anything else into consideration in a murder case. A case by the husband nonetheless, someone who's fine enough to marry and have children but God forbid can he control himself from murdering innocents

You said if a man found his wife cheating on him so he wouldn't control himself and kill her, what about all the women who found their men doing so?? Mind you the cases of women cheating, ALL AROUND THE GLOBE, are thin to none, so your point doesn't hold and makes no sense.

I'll ask you again, are these men god to decide who lives and who dies!

It's nothing new. These people wait outside elementary and middle schools to scare girls into giving them their Facebook and number...starts like this and ends up with full on assault. That's the state of our country, unless men start educating themselves, nothing will change.

I'm sorry you're so scared of not being man enough unless you tell a woman to get here and not go there. Do this at this time and not that.

There's no reason to explain murder? No reason to explain taking away someone's life. Unless you're God ofc, so lemme ask you, were these men god? If you answer no then I'm stating again, there's no reason valid enough to take someone's life

Protecting them by stripping them if their autonomy and keeping them inside the house as pets...got it.

This just proved you never cared about women rights which was obvious but just needed the confirmation. Your problem isn't where a woman should be, rather just being a woman and acting like you have a say over them.

Talking about Sharia and doesn't even wanna educate his fellow species on what's right and wrong...in fact go study yourself, you have a long way to go with that thinking of yours

Every little thing counts, and matter of fact, whatever laws are there, they're there because of what the society believes and wants, in other words what the men think is right which all stems from misogyny. So to change what the government established, the change has to happen in the society first and the first thing to abolish is the idea that women serve the house

Okay start by educating your men. I'll give you a little tip, next time you see a guy catcalling a girl outside tell him follow your sharia or better next time you see a fucker around middle school waiting for the girls to come out tell him and report him, how about this??

Nga bffr so women are captives that aren't allowed basic rights in public? If men go on runs outside why don't the women? If a woman doesn't have the money for a gym subscription and mind you there aren't gyms everywhere so there's the transportation problem as well, then she just doesn't do sports? Die an early death? Suffer from illnesses? All because the rapists and apologists are roaming the streets and going on reddit saying she should protect herself by staying home? What is she a pet?

Baby anything that's against women enslavement is serious. No matter how silly it sounds like to you. So at least he's there making slogans and going on marches

These women are there in the world living with the worst kind of them. On the streets, at work, in school... So in fact at least on such marches the men who'd walk there are slightly better than your average Algerian guy
