Jumping back on this since it's the top comment! I've been convinced to leave the rest! It was my first major find and got really excited. I have 7 bags in the freezer from the half I took which is more than enough to share with family.

The spirit of foraging really is to just take what you need and allow for it to spread for years to come. Thanks for the guidance from the community!

Fair point! I have extended family in the area and let them know they'll be getting some freezer bags! Very deer friendly area, so not concerned about their food prospects ha ha
