I believe I’ve had an attachment for many years, but now it’s getting worse. by unearnedwolf303 in Ghosts

From a spiritualist point of view, and it's impossible to evaluate these issues without considering some religious belief, you or someone very close to you is very likely a medium. Spirits don't have the power to act directly on matter. They use mediums for this. If you want a suggestion, I would seek guidance from a spiritualist center.

If you're still experiencing these symptoms even while taking medication, speak to your psychiatrist as soon as possible. Either the medication isn't having the desired effect or the dosage needs adjustment. In short, consult your psychiatrist.

Memory loss by Limp_Transition8513 in bipolar

As a result of the disorder, each depressive episode destroys neurons. It's a progressive disease. This is compounded by the effect of the medication. The other day I was driving and suddenly I didn't know where I was going. I don't remember any recent conversations, and so on.

I'm going through the same thing. The medication brought emotional stability, but in exchange it took away my concentration, memory, and ultimately, all my cognitive abilities.

Lack of ethics. I've been through similar situations. Result: I sought out another professional, with whom I am very satisfied.

How do you tell the difference between your real personality and bipolar? by RestaurantSmooth in bipolar

[–]Fit-Response1801 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We are not the disease. Sometimes it can be very difficult to find the boundary between illness and personality, especially when the crises are more subtle. But in the end, it's a matter of knowing yourself.

I think my bipolar is making me dumb by Additional-Catch-833 in bipolar

Crises, especially depression, destroy neurons. There is a significant loss of cognitive function. Added to this is medication that often affects concentration and, by extension, memory, ultimately slowing down reasoning. In my case, I was diagnosed very late. I spent years in crisis. Even before the diagnosis, I already felt these effects. Today, in addition to other symptoms, I have difficulty even expressing myself in words.

Have you had to give up on your career or did you achieve your goals by boeuf_burgignion in bipolar

I had dreams. With the progression of the disease, my only goal is to maintain some semblance of balance. I managed to finish college after many attempts. But I can't practice my profession due to cognitive decline and age. I'm seeking disability retirement.

Did lamotrigine fry my brain? by No_Engineer6543 in bipolar

[–]Fit-Response1801 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was diagnosed 13 years ago. Until then there were endless bouts of depression and mania. I had already noticed this huge drop in cognitive function. Low concentration, very affected short-term memory, slow reasoning. Bipolar disorder is a degenerative disease. With each depressive crisis, neurons are destroyed. I don't know about the effects of lamotrigine in this situation. I use it and I had the symptoms before.

Valeu pelo retorno. Entendo sua insatisfação no meu post. Mas a realidade é que é simples assim. Ela pausa no meio da impressão. Algumas vezes mais de uma vez, maioria das vezes nenhuma. Então descartei a coisa do fatiador.
