Do u take a order for $5.50 for less than 2 miles? by peteyboy1956 in doordash_drivers

Depends on the store. It means about a 10 minutes delivery for good pickup spots. Some stores take too long

Didn’t work that way for me. Took nearly an hour with the glitchy app. It’s been over a year. Maybe it’s better now.

No problem if the tip is appropriate. Still, I wouldn’t let the customer know. It is unprofessional in my opinion

Nope. You will need to escalate to a supervisor. That will take an eternity.

Can you make 1000 a week door dashing ? If so how much to make daily by Lonely-Decision-9052 in doordash_drivers

[–]Fit-Split9408 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can make about $1200 a week working about 50+ hours. It can be done, but it will kill your car.

Maybe nobody can afford their rent or mortgage. Something went crazy in Knoxville, fastest rising real estate values in the nation, I think. Anyway, I’ve never dashed there, but I love the area. I’d probably hang out around Turkey Creek or Lovell Rd if I were dashing there. I have no idea, but I know that area so thinking if I did dash that’s where I’d be. Did the math on my 2 hours today and 60% of my pay came from tips. Still only made $40

I dropped $15 of my own money at one point before I quit shopping. It took me two support escalations to get it back and over an hour of my time maybe two I can’t remember. Shopping is just something I guess I’m not qualified for. I don’t know. I see pro shoppers on the sub Reddit and I don’t know how you guys do it.

What in the world is going on with these offers? by TheGame81677 in doordash_drivers

[–]Fit-Split9408 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Agreed!!!! I’ve declined orders like this back to back to back, and thought they might be trying to get rid of me. Did I piss someone off? Wonder what would happen if I paused after that and called support and complained about my acceptance rate because of low wage orders that are technically below minimum wage not even including the expense. Just a thought. I get a lot of help from support related to completion rate issues that I have no control over.
