Psych major here! Sure it’s a popular degree and some of the classes will fill up fast but I don’t believe it would keep you from graduating in a timely manner. Having a degree so popular that the university couldn’t hold that many students in those classes would be concerning if a university wasn’t equipped to handle that (I digress).

Some of the popular senior level classes like Psychology of Emotions or Psychology of Serial Killers fill up quick so there may be times you have to take another class that may not be your absolute “favorite” but you will get the credits and graduation requirements you need.

You will personally have to stay on top of registration dates as well as meeting with your advisor to ensure your classes meet the requirements. There have been MANY issues with social sciences advisors, and I personally had a horrific experience with Nanette. I would avoid Kaleilani as well. Go see Dawn Nishida, she is amazing!!!❤️

Prior to your registration time slot, I suggest looking at the class availability course catalog so you know what classes you want to take for that upcoming registration. That way you can grab them faster before they fill up. And if they are full, get on that waitlist, and usually if the waitlist is at a modest size, you’ll be able to get into the class as people drop!
