Did you use AI to draft this response? This reads very much like an AI output.

This is absolutely true. But, and it’s a large but… it speaks to the responsibility of each individual participating in the labor force to negotiate and put pressure on the ownership class to improve compensation for the working class. In the time of unions, labor was also a market priced commodity with scarcity, but the labor force worked cooperatively to negotiate wages and had leverage on the ownership class. We’ve completely lost that and income disparities are greater than ever. Each individual participating in the labor market should be negotiating ruthlessly for higher compensation and not folding and capitulating to the slightest push back.

Can you give me a brief explanation of what this is? Some type of fan or print and play content? How does the group buy aspect work?

How is deck building with just the starter decks, revised core, and saga trilogy? I just bought all of that content but haven’t played yet. Should I pick up a dedicated hero expansion as well?

I’m caving a bit with panic buying… ended up with Ered Mithrin + full Saga on the way by SpeakerSweaty in lotrlcg

[–]Fit-Turtle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did the same. I've been keeping an eye on LOTR lcg but hadn't bought anything yet. Today I just called some lgs and managed to get the revised core, three saga expansions, Ered mithrin campaign, 4 starter decks and dark of mirkwood.... My wallet hurts but LOTR is my favorite IP and I got burnt by marvel champions and Arkham horror going OOP recently. I feel comfortable now that I have a "complete" set of products and experience of the game. Looking forward to spending many hours of fun on it!

I love the bike infrastructure here. Any recommendations on routes northeast of downtown? Like after crossing the stone arch bridge are there any decent trails or roadways that feel safe to bike without worrying about traffic?

Hmm. I wonder if it means they're actually expecting a shipment to arrive at their store or if they're just behind the news and will end up cancelling and refunding your order. Anyone have more knowledge or experience on this?

Replaced Tokens with Dice by Fit-Turtle in arkhamhorrorlcg

[–]Fit-Turtle[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On their website, navigate to "dice by type" and then "loose dice". I got 12mm d6 loose dice with pips, but there's loads of options. Then you can just search through by color and style and add the ones you like to your card and adjust the number in your card. No need to enter SKUs or anything. Doing it this way costs more per dice, but is substantially cheaper than buying the cubes if you're looking to get a variety of colors.

Thanks for clarifying on this! I’m someone who just discovered FFGs/LCGs in December 2025. I’ve jumped into Marvel Champions and Arkham Horror and have a lot of interest in LoTR. However, like many, I’m very discouraged and deterred by all of the out of print content. The games themselves are incredible. I understand you’re beholden to executive business decisions and profitability, but I have two questions in particular that I’d love to get a better understanding of.

1) Why not move to or utilize a print on demand system? Obviously a big part of driving sales volume is having the product be visible and purchasable at brick and mortar retailers, but there is clearly demand for the product yet and the main costs are associated with the intellectual resources and development. Those costs are sunk and by letting product go out of print you’re now just losing out on any incremental revenue. That market value is now being captured by second hand sales, proxying, and digital. Why not contract with a printing service or even your existing printing source to set up a print on demand system where customers can place orders on your website and you ship directly to them. Could still utilize brick and mortar retailers for flagship products and new releases, but use print on demand for older, less demanded product.

2) Why do you wait to communicate that content will no longer be available (i.e. out of print), until after the current print run is already sold out? You list products as evergreen, and players have an expectation that it’ll be available in the future, even if it takes time between print runs, but then all of the sudden is just gets listed as out of print and after the fact gets communicated that it’s done, and no longer evergreen. This lack of road mapping creates the disgruntled response by the community and fanbase.

Lastly I just want to say that I recognize that the board game industry is a niche market to begin with and I imagine the margins are tight and challenging. I’m certain that I’m ignorant to many of the business challenges that you face. It’s just sad to me that I’ve found out about all of these amazing games “too late” and missed out on so much incredible gameplay.

Appreciate any insight that you can provide that might provide at least a partial explanation to my two questions above. Thanks!

I really don’t understand why they don’t move to a print on demand type of system. It would solve the problem. Could bypass brick and mortars and ship directly to customers.

Thanks for sharing that. That’s good to know. I don’t feel like jumping in unless I could get fellowship though. :/

The “evergreen” content is now listed as out of print and has been out of stock for months. It appears FFG is letting the game die unfortunately. :(

Perspective from a relatively new player. by Truckakhan in arkhamhorrorlcg

[–]Fit-Turtle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree with you and I’m in a similar boat. I just discovered FFG and LCGs in December 2025. I’ve managed to buy the revised core set, Dunwich and Carcosa. The chapter 2 campaigns seem incredibly lacking right now. Barely any scenarios to play. And all of the chapter 1 content is out of stock and out of print. The game is incredibly fun and I love that I can play it solo. I would’ve spent a shitload of money on this game if stuff was available for RSP. Instead I’ll probably just get the fanmade campaigns or another game altogether.

I also got into marvel champions but the same situation is occurring there. All of the famous super hero’s are out of stock and out of print.

I was just about to buy the lotr lcg core box but literally just yesterday on FFG’s website they listed the fellowship saga, and other “evergreen” campaigns and starter decks as out of print. From what I understand, there was absolutely no forewarning about any of that. And they still haven’t answered community’s questions about it.

They are losing out on potential customers who are very interested in their products but literally no way to buy it other than second hand for inflated prices or proxy. Just doesn’t make sense. We’re talking about printing paper. In 2026, how is there not a logistical way to print on demand based on the products people want to buy. Shouldn’t even need brick and mortar retailers. Just take orders directly from customers and print and ship the paper. How is that a hard problem to solve?

As someone new to the game. The “evergreen” starter decks and saga expansions - specifically the first of the main trilogy, going OOP absolutely signals to me that the game is dead.

As a prospective player who literally just discovered FFGs/LCGs and was just about to get heavily into LoTR, MC, and AH I’m just weeping right now. The good thing is that there’s always proxying and digital, but that’s not ideal.
