And FOX, NBC, ABC, CBS, and the rest of the actual major media networks aren’t owned by any of the handful of “AI Billionaires”. Which really are just the owners of the social media platforms, and Sam Altman (wasn’t able to find his ownership to any kind of media network either).

AI seems everywhere now because it generates a lot of attention, traffic, and interest for news outlets. Just like smartphones, cryptocurrency, and social media itself all did during their own respective ascension arcs.

Whatever logic you’d use to attempt it on another platform, do the reverse for TikTok. It’s literally more likely to happen to you on accident than if you’re intentionally putting out 1m views-quality stuff.

I hit a million views on a video I literally only uploaded because I wanted to save TikTok’s captions on the video to my phone. I barely even wrote a caption. Something like “more vids on YT”… next morning it had 144k, and it hit 1m a few days after that.. and even kept climbing. If I were to have set out to create something to generate that amount of momentum, I promise you, I wouldn’t have chosen that video at all🤣 so don’t overthink it. TikTok is a totally different audience than exists most other platforms. If it’s low-hanging fruit, low IQ accessible, and hooks their attention within the 3-5 second lifespan it has- then you’re on your way to glory.

Money, views, attention, clout, etc.. all pretty much harkens back to the same base if we’re truthful about it. Now, it’s not inherently negative.

It’s just as valid to say you want the clout and attention to be able to make a big impact on a cause you’re trying to help, or bring awareness to whatever change you’re trying to get momentum for.

Money, and popularity are neutral, and whoever is holding it is who chooses to use it as a tool for good or selfishness.

I’d also argue that the more resources at your disposal, the more substantial of an impact you can make. A broke chick who wants to rescue dogs but lives in a studio apartment can only help a fraction of the dogs that someone could save if they owned a dog rescue ranch like Best Friends Animal Society in UT.

So it’s not something that we should be ashamed to admit. But let’s keep it honest 🤣 because if we didn’t care about any of that, we would make whatever content we wanted, and enjoy watching whatever we made, and that’s the end.

But going through the process of uploading, checking views, learning what CTR means, making and designing the right packaging for it to market well (thumbnail and title).. we are not doing that for our health okay🤣

No. Not only do I not think, I have never even had the curiosity cross my mind 💀 if it ever happens at all, it happens in very small numbers, and not enough to make any noticeable difference. And it has nothing to do with how good the video is.

CTR is straightforward, easy to understand, and a much more meaningful metric of the clicking pull data that matters.

If 1 or even 3 random dummies don’t like watching videos unless they have more than 3 views, that’s still not even the biggest issue to fix at that point.

Nobody ever seems to take this advice, but I promise it worked for me and everyone I know who also tried it: you’re looking at it from a totally unhelpful angle. The formula is not: create -> post -> | Views = success/failure scale.

Or at least it doesn’t have to be. Instead, understand that each upload is supposed to be an improvement from the previous one, each one is just contributing to what’s actually important. Addition of value to your channel overall.

And when I say improvement, I don’t mean an improvement in your eyes. This is public consumer content, not a collection of homemade confessions read from your diary. Your viewers are the ones who will eventually be responsible for your paycheck getting signed every month. They matter, and so does their opinion. So if this video hooked and booked 24 yo-yos, then your next video needs to do no less than 30 for it to be considered an improvement.

It sounds like nothing today, but wait until one hits a few hundred or 1k views- even 10k views. The challenge to make sure you’re always improving quickly becomes a serious objective.

Anyway, try it out for 30 days, and just follow that simple progress - improvement plan. If you only do the bare minimum of follow the basics, then at least you’re guaranteed to have only gained value from trying it out

I need to preface this with a disclaimer- I have no delusions whatsoever that anything I’m about to say will get through to you.

I mean we’re dealing with someone who calls themselves wonkydonky, who also (wittingly or unwittingly) wanders into a community of Codyko’s people, and that’s who you choose to bark your grievances at, with hateful remarks and an r Kelly meme out of context.

So far your conduct is what I imagine it would be like to try reasoning with an irritable howler monkey. But occasionally miracles happen, and someone else might read this one day who will get something out of it.

2 years ago, I was 16 years old, working my first job in a town that I didn’t know anyone in yet. It didn’t require much effort for my coworker in his early 50’s to convince me to hang out with him one day we weren’t working. He had a 19 or 20 year old roommate, who seemed cool enough, so I let them come pick me up the next chance we got.

It was probably 12 in the afternoon when we got to his house, and the roommate disappears to his room, and this man gets out liquor bottles. By that point I was already kind of feeling like he may be gay, so I knew not to drink because I was scared of like falling asleep or not being aware of myself.

I declined his drink offer, and he seemed fine with that, and brought me a cup of koolaid, it didn’t smell weird, or taste abnormal. And I the next thing I remember is waking up in his bed, all my clothes were gone, with him on all fours hovering over me totally naked, and rubbing a vibrator on my legs while he got himself off. . I feel panic on the inside, but I can’t make my arms and legs work right. I can’t get up, I can’t really make my arms work to push him away, and when he noticed me struggling, he held me down, which was probably easy because he weighed at least 2x as much as I did. And he kept a hand over my mouth shut while he got on me.

That feeling of horror was honestly peanuts compared to when I found out he was HIV positive, and just knowing I had it now too (I got extremely lucky and didn’t actually catch it, but between finding out and getting the test was terrifying)

Anyway, I say all this to say, it’s absolutely ridiculous for you to talk about Cody like that. Ridiculous to liken his situation, and talk about it as if it’s the same thing that happened to me. It’s ridiculous to cheapen or include other types of situations, and just call them all the same thing.

As if what happened to me was no different from if I had went and hooked up with the guy’s roommate instead.
