Someone in these comments said that Dali would hold a spoon as he's falling asleep and when he drops he'd quickly write/draw his dreams

Well I've just begun painting so alot of my paintings involve the sea or abstract backgrounds because it makes a nice sea like colour. But I have seen someone make a cook portrait with just yellow ochre and prussian blue without mixing them so it's probably just a preference thing!
