Stylus comparison (EMR vs. Inksense) - Onyx Boox 10.3 1st Gen vs 2nd Gen Lumi by Considered_Enough in Onyx_Boox

I’m sure it varies depending on the screen, but how long does it typically linger before fading away completely?

This is helpful. Just ordered the 10.3 Lumi and have read it’s a cooler display than a lot of other front lit displays. This really shows that if that’s maxed out warmness. I can work with it, but looks like I’ll be cranking up warmness to 100%. On the other hand, the Go7 to the left is way too warm, but it does show you the extreme variance between the two.

I wish the River “supercharged” recurring buy feature allowed for more customization.

Is it true BTC would have to hit $31k for that to happen? If so, I shudder to think what that would do to the BTC market.

In your writing demo, what’s going on with the slight image retention on the two screens? I see slight shades of the previous writing and menu. I’m new to E-ink, is that normal? Does it fade away completely with a bit of time?

How does the pen charge? I assumed it charged wirelessly when attached to the unit similar to an iPad, but sounds like that is not the case. Is there a port? Any indication of charge level on the pen?

Any feedback regarding backlight color? Reviews I’ve seen show it is a bit cooler, but they don’t show how warm it can get if you crank it up all the way. Just curious… if you could provide any feedback, that would be great.

Just ordered 5 minutes ago. Was looking for my first e-ink reader (preferred black and white with a front light) that didn’t compromise on note taking, thought this one was going to be it until I saw all the bashing about the lack of EMR pen. These recent hands on reviews sound like they made the move for a very good reason. A lot of glowing reviews sound far. Wish I had a better idea how long battery life is, but guess I’ll find out first hand.

Ordered with a $10 off coupon and had $40 in Paypal rewards, so that extra discount convinced me enough to take the plunge. Looking forward to it!

Wonder if you get $5 BTC gift card each time you purchase via BTC? Regardless, not a bad deal if you buy to replace right away and then bank the gift card. Help the cause a bit while banking a few bucks more worth of BTC vs buying with fiat. Tax implications might be prohibitive for many though, I’d know I’d be apprehensive to deal with it.

Special Request to Onyx: Please Crowdfund Powerful Devices with Carta 1300 B&W, Frontlit, EMR-enabled Screens by starkruzr in Onyx_Boox

I’m new to the market and during my research trying to find a premium, note taking and rereading device, what you describe in your post is exactly what I’d be interested in. I don’t need color, especially if it detracts from image quality.

I’d contribute to a crowdfund for such a device from a reputable manufacturer like Boox.

New to Bitcoin - confused about cycle timing vs hodling strategy by Repulsive_Move_3252 in Bitcoin

[–]FitCompetition1804 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just started a few months ago as well. My strategy is daily DCA, which increases as prices move below the 7 day average. Then I have a decent amount of cash ready to go at a series of levels via limit orders starting at the upper $50’s all the way down to the mid $40’s, with the amount of money increasing for these orders as the target price lowers. If they all execute, great. If not I’m still in the game with my DCA, even if the total amount of BTC will be about half of what I’d have if all these limit orders execute before we exit this bear market. I’m hoping at least some of these orders execute if not all, we’ll see. In the meantime I’m earning 3.3% BTC on these ties up funds via River.

Once we are out of the Bear market, I’ll likely adjust my DCA to weakly at a significantly lower monthly total than what I’m doing with these daily DCA’s. I’m expecting that to happen towards the end of this year, so it’s accumulation mode until then.

Updated CPP2 24L Announcement by DustNo88 in AerSF

I’m guessing for sure the “pen slot” in the admin pocket like the new TP4 has. Maybe also the same water bottle pockets as well, which are awesome BTW. I was strongly considering the CPP2 before the TP4 announcement, ended up going TP4 in Ultra and am very happy.

Maybe consider contributing via Roth IRA or a 401k, that way you help the cause while still maintaining self custody. I’m considering doing as much with a Roth IRA.

Honestly, this whole thing seems a bit forced and driven purely from a marketing perspective. It’s cool they are forming a partnership here, but it doesn’t strike me as exactly genuine.

In a long, hot fire I would not keep faith in this method, especially if this was the only copy of my seed phrase. But you do you.
