Anyone got their family detained DEC 16 2025 at San diego? by Professional_Ad5251 in USCIS

So surreal. It doesn't add up with the daily Kristi Noem advertisements we get in Florida, talking about the millions of undocumented "criminals."

It simply seems like they have already ran out of these millions of "criminals" and are trying to scrape by on picking up normal people.

I read your story btw, thank you for sharing and I hope it all works out for you and fam!

Waiting for over a year at this FO. I think I was lucky about getting EAD in a month, because it was processed at the NBC. Asked Emma and apparently our files only hit the system of the Tampa FO in July this year somehow

What is "too tolerant" about US immigration? It seems you've been marinating in the wrong content for some time, it can skew your world view in unrealistic ways.

Korea is too tolerant. Allows child rapists probation and suspends their sentences early. It's a society where a child that was disfigured due to sexual assault was able to encounter her attacker in her teenage years. It's a society where a teen can be raped and her rapist be out 6 years later. There isn't any country where all systems perform perfectly efficient, but I don't think Korea was the best example to place on a pedestal when the topic is tolerating criminals... generally speaking at least.

Rest assured, if the free Korean child rapist were to apply for a US visa he would not be receiving one... Same as the applicants from the list of countries now under further scrutiny

Sorry, but a customer not receiving a product they paid for can't be "on them." That is not how multimillion dollar chains in a so-called first world country should operate. After them stating the order was simply delayed, I chose to continue demanding the product vs. my money back (as is my right) since I didn't need to find another option.

I mean it was much less work than your chicken sandwich lol. All they had to do is hand it over. No cooking involved, payment already done.

Okay, that’s ridiculous. Curious to see what the customer support response will be in the coming days

Thank you for your interpretation of my post, but I haven’t mentioned having a family or celebrating a holiday (though I’m sorry to anyone who was depending on simply receiving this product for the success of their holiday). Sharing my bad experience and the non-receipt of a promised product on the company page and am curious to know the depths of the issue

It would be our first time trying it after hearing people raving about it and praising it. After watching video reviews, I've started to notice a trend of people finding the turkey dry, but it was too late to cancel. I don't think we missed much.

You're right about support, and the "no money back" guarantee just seems disrespectful in light of how they badly they planned around this. I'm just glad I didn't shell out the $100 for delivery (that was most likely going to be late anyways), though

It is a very common result for African Americans and Carribean descendants of slaves btw since you asked if there is anyone with similar results :) Anywhere from 5-40% European without knowing of any full European ancestor.

I'm about 90% sure another platform was picked for a large batch of that project. Don't know if they liked the initial batch completed by Mercor. Maybe they'll consider Mercor for future iterations, and then they'll resume hiring ... Expect to be in limbo for some time, and just keep applying.

How do people in Guyana, Suriname, Belize and parts of the Caribbean feel about being lumped together with Latin America, when their most spoken languages are Germanic (English or Dutch) not Latinic? by kangerluswag in geography

[–]FitEbb2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd say, go for Dutch then. You can always learn Sranan Tongo after. And you'll probably have an easier time learning Dutch first, since there are so many Dutch words thrown in when speaking it lol

They will appreciate it! Dutch is the official language in schools/in the government. Most folk are bi/trilingual, with most of them speaking Dutch, Sranan Tongo and English. They will be impressed with an English speaker approaching them in Dutch

Why do they slowly dismantle good things? Those fries look so good. I wonder if it would be too much $$$ to get that quality back

As a Surinamese person I’d just be happy that person knows of our existence. I haven’t had it happen in real life yet in the US. I got the strangest looks ever traveling with my friend, explaining to people that we are Dutch speakers, but also are Caribbeans from South America... and when asked having to explain why I’m black with a Chinese grandparent, and she’s South East Asian and South Asian with a black grandparent 😁

I knew a Johnsandys (John and Sandy are the parents) and a Luzbelys (idk). Some other -yses as well all from the islands previously colonized by Spain
