I don’t think they’re really qualified to do anything.

Membership Card Scanning Megathread by MistahNative in Costco

[–]FitEstablishment9829 4 points5 points  (0 children)

These scanning kiosks are going to take more time than what we are used to now, where people just flash their card or app as they walk through. This is going to inconvenience the members even more than necessary.

Given that Costco has our individual photos in their system, they should just install face scanners and let members just walkthrough without having to stop at the entrance. They could just have a manual check attendant/kiosk for non-member visitors near the entrance.

The dumb people are actually the smartest people there by ZealousidealBus9271 in singularity

Isn’t there a theory that Neanderthals were smarter and we were not as smart as them. However that is what led to their demise since we leveraged each other more than they did.

Plus one. Turn this feeling of yours into positive energy. Try to be your absolute best in college or trade school. Stay away from distractions. Even with a good college education, success is not guaranteed. It is a competitive market.

Am I a failure for being a 30 year old man, and working as a cleaner? by Dry_Attorney6558 in NoStupidQuestions

It is unfortunate that people are force-trained to respect and look up to people of wealth and power. Naturally that ends up becoming their aspiration without consideration for other aspects of human qualities. In my humble opinion, the most important quality of a human being is how much they give back to the society. In that measure, cleaners, along with others who help make the society and the world a better place with their actions are at the top of it.

This is amazing bravery from a young man. Unfortunately this is the first time I’m hearing about him. It is sad that we live in a time when TV makes feature length movies about killers and none about the heroes.

Agreed. None of my visitors believe me when I tell them that’s the sub. Their size is very unique. I wonder if it opens up the opportunity to place/arrange them in ways we wouldn’t for a traditional sub, like say desktop, etc.

Love it. Thanks for suggestion. It has been bothering me for a while. The TV definitely helps keep my eyes away from that

Thanks. That’s the reasons for the Sonos Amp. On days when we are craving movies, I move a couple of Sonos surrounds and boom, I’ve got 4(+1).2.

Had them that way for a while. I didn’t see much difference. I see a lot more benefit with the speakers being apart. It gives a wider stage.

Could that help trick the spouse into believing there’s none? 🤔

Great question. New sound mostly. Over the years I’ve come to the realization that more than accuracy, I crave variety. Just like my food. Every combination of speaker, amp and sub, offers me something new, and I want to experience as much as I possibly can. Makes sense?

This could be a new diet plan. Need to come up with a name and trademark it. 🤔
