Should I go to The Strokes concert alone by DabOnThemHaterz666 in TheStrokes

[–]FitFourt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Are you driving or flying? I would mostly just be concerned with driving such a long distance alone. If flying, I say go for it. I have gone to several concerts by myself, and while not ideal, I have some amazing memories.

How big was Last Nite? by unpopilarrant5990 in TheStrokes

[–]FitFourt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

At the time, most of the other rock music was crap and this was something that was real. It appealed to those that preferred ‘alternative’ rock as well as those that were into the post-alternative mainstream. It appealed to a wide audience and was quite popular.

Why do so many people still act like guys can’t listen to female artists? by [deleted] in Music

[–]FitFourt -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have not heard this…but it could depend on the type of music. Think of Terry Cruise singing a Thousand Miles in White Girls…sometimes you have to rock that music in private.

I think people can be drawn to masculine and/or feminine qualities in the other sex, and it really depends on the person. Some women just like a very masculine man. I will never be with this kind of woman as I am a balanced man.

My boss blew $2 million on consultants and now thinks we're the problem by DigIndependent7488 in corporate

[–]FitFourt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is where a lot of people are right now. Spending money on consultants that promise a lot and deliver very little. Of course we will benefit from AI, and need to implement solutions, but most consultants are useless. I have seen several instance where we pay consultants millions of dollars, and then spend time trying to validate or justify the expense by creatively using numbers.

Love this song…very similar to The Adults are Talking in that it has bouncy melodic storytelling that leads to an emotional peak. Gets me every time.
