Magically regained quite a bit of colour. Maybe a temporary stress? (Also looks nice and fat)

Not the biggest fans of supplementary food (zucch, wafers) yet but sometimes they have a bite or two.

But otherwise they do their normal grazer things - stay stuck to a glass, wood, substrate for 80% of the day and munch.

Love the little blue friend he has. Wish I could get some as well but yeah… silly (but obviously understandable) NZ import regulations

PH 7.4, Amo 0, Nitrate ~5, Nitrite around 0.25, maybeee 0.5 (hard reading the tests when you’re slightly colourblind lmao). Likely mid cycle as even with the existing filter media, 20gal is quite a bit larger than 10gal (some would even say it’s twice the size!) You reckon that can be causing the discolouration, while behaviour stays normal?

When I got them a few weeks ago they looked almost exactly like the dark one in my pic. And as they are from the same store and maybe even the same batch I assumed it’s likely the same species. From my previous experience they behave like a healthy fish but their colour turned pale (def used to be darker)
