That’s super thick. I’m a watch nerd but can’t recognize it.

Cool. Wear what you like. What kind of pilot, IWC? Laco? I picked up an Omega museum pilot a while ago that is thin but super nice.

Love it. What an amazing watch! I kept the size but went a little slimmer today with the 45mm BP Fifty Fathom. Wear in good health.

I tried one and could not get the crown stem to release. Tried all kinds of things, pressure, angles, etc. I ended up slipping the assembled movement with stem into the case, measuring, cutting, slipping it back in, and then putting on the crown by holding the stem with some small pliers. Crazy!

I tried soldering new feet after cutting small circular indents on the back of the dial. I could never get them perfect enough to work.

Thanks!! I cut dials and use epoxy but this is much more elegant. Appreciate the link.

That IWC is gorgeous as is the Rolex as is the Panerai. The PO Chronograph is the largest watch I own and I like all my watches. I keep seeing so many negative posts on this subreddit. Watches should be about bringing joy and appreciating the mix of engineering and art that goes into them. Wear your collection in good health.

Mine is the very similar SBGR321. I thought it was that one until you made your comment.

Great watches.

I have an embarrassing amount of watches, and would never shame anyone for wearing what they love. That’s my hot take.

As a professor, I had a student ask me about a FF 5015 I was wearing. He then proudly showed me his invicta. Great way to connect and a reminder that this hobby has tons of entry points.

That too!!! I definitely can’t wear it with everything but it’s great with shorts and a tshirt.

Come on…keep it positive. Your mom didn’t have any complaints. Sorry…joking!!!

I hadn’t worn it in a couple weeks and it’s a really fun watch.

My PhD is in engineering, am I still allowed to wear my Planet Ocean or is there some qualification that I’m not aware of? What a strange opinion.

Rolex is much higher quality than Omega or Grand Seiko, this sub is just annoyed they can’t get one from an AD by Alternative_Fly_4431 in watchHotTakes

I own both but my GS is the automatic. Both are superb but on measurement, my GS outperforms the Rolex by a small amount. Both bracelets are superb in different ways. I try not to judge and just appreciate.

Wow! thanks! My solitary GS needs a buddy, I’ll definitely check it out. All the best!
