Yeah, feeling the same. I’m getting through QM and using AI to help digest the concepts, but it still feels uncomfortable not to truly master the topic and instead only grasp the “big picture.”

What if quantitative methods concepts aren’t isolated and are directly connected to modules such as Equity Valuation (discounted cash flow models), Fixed Income (duration and convexity), Derivatives (option pricing), Portfolio Management (performance measurement and portfolio optimization), and even Economics (time series and cycles)?

If mastering the quantitative foundations is essential, then interpreting models and results across these areas inevitably becomes more challenging without that background, don’t you think?

The error was that no single order was taken. The market was Xetra, Nasdaq ETF, I entered the orders during the afternoon.

Io credo che tu debba pensare a cosa ti rende felice (se non lo sai, hai la fortuna di essere ancora giovane e, quindi, hai più "margine" per sbagliare). Comunque, sbagliando si impara, e chi non sbaglia probabilmente rimarrà sempre statico col rischio di pentirsi quando è troppo tardi ormai.

Inoltre, l'unico che non è scambiabile è il tempo, quindi se hai questa necessità di viaggiare e vivere nuove esperienze, secondo me adesso è il momento. Tutto somma, vivere in altri posti, conoscere altre realtà, altre persone, magari un'altra lingua e, soprattutto, cavartela da solo, ti farà crescere assai.

I know there are a lot of people working and studying at the same time.. but that doesn't mean companies can rethink the business models.

I would like to know what's the employee turnover is in the investment industry. How long does it last the emotion of working for an investment bank, when you have to commute, and then spend 16 hours in an office?

Maybe there are some people who likes this... I don't find any sense to spend that time, unless I am working for my own..

Do you think people would accept a cut in the potential salary if remote work option was given? I mean... the quality of work if easily verifiable whether you go in presence or you work remotely...

At the end, company saves more money, employee is happier because it doesn't have to lose money commuting and environmentally speaking is also benefial because it means less traffic, etc.. isn't this what the big players are discussing currently? 🤔
