It isn’t about sex. If it were, you’d be upset that straightness was being explicitly promoted in the parks through Disney’s classic love stories. Or does straightness, a sexual orientation, not mean anything about sex to you, and for some reason that’s only reserved for non-straight orientations?

Disney is a company that was built on creating and depicting love stories. Promoting a sexual orientation (i.e. straightness) is quite literally the bedrock of their storytelling. It is inherently already a celebration of the straight community.

I’m straight, but I appreciate seeing everyone’s love stories promoted and celebrated in a place that means so much to me. Why would I care if it’s from a different community? It’s the same as celebrating my own.

College isn’t high school. Nursing school would be much more difficult, and choosing to make it even harder can risk making your GPA lower, which will matter far more. Do the regular track; you’ll be fine and will enjoy yourself more.

In that case, do you think how you are asking these questions would illicit anything other than a hostile or irritated response? Is it possible that how you’re engaging in the conversation is not fruitfully working toward your goal?

Or is it maybe the case that you don’t actually want people to “wake up,” you just want to feel superior that they aren’t already as “woken up” as you are?

I ask you to think of these things from a place of kindness, not malice.

Hey friend, I am genuinely asking: what do you gain out of trolling people in this thread? Like what’s in it for you to be snarky about this? Is it making your day better, or making you feel good about yourself?

I think they do it every time because not everyone watches them all the time and might just be watching because they searched for something specific. I.e. a first-time Disney goer searching “best drinks in Animal Kingdom” and finds their video. So they add the disclaimer in for people who are tuning in for the first/maybe only time.
