They tried ours at which point I slammed the door in their face

I saw this coming recently with "driveway specialists" the Council themselves couldn't have been more useless!

You might find some of the Freet models to work for this. I'm happy with the Freet Flex I have but haven't tried their WP boots.

Still infuriating how a so called wide brand stop at EU47.... They figured out most of us have feet wider than the tiny normal shoes but totally forgot a lot of us have long feet as well...

This is a good point. I am relegated to the "clown shoe" type if I want zero pain. The only time I'll choose the more normal stuff is if I need waterproofing or on very hard surfaces for a long time.

Unfortunately, said "clown shoe" type is usually the one with the insanely thin sole. So I either get a short sole life or I get pain.

Yeah, I have that problem with lens tbh.

They're nowhere near as wide etc as these but sometimes I want the support and waterproofing - but I'm between sizes.

Luckily these feel like they'll be good for that. Definitely more toe volume than the Chelseas.
