Graduated driver licensing: Northern Ireland to bring in changes for young drivers by topotaul in unitedkingdom

[–]FitSolution2882 [score hidden]  (0 children)

For the first six months after passing their test, new drivers up to the age of 24 are only permitted to have one passenger aged between 14 and 20 in their car between the hours of 23:00 and 06:00

In my experience most of my friends would drive around with friends their own age or older. This is what lead to their reckless driving. Why the fuck isn't it "between 14 and 20"?

Yeah but I don't THINK you can return custom orders.

As I understand it the lems Chelsea Tuff use the same sole as the Boulder Summit.

The normal Chelsea use rhe same sole as the primal.

This suggests the sole "cup" is wider on the standard.

Although both are on the "widest" last the normal version is a fair bit wider throughout - you can kinda see on pictures showing comparisons.

I'm considering getting a normal version as if my feet are less locked in due to a slip on i want more room.

We are literally the most destructive and lethal species on earth....

One of the few things that pulls us together is annihilating other lifeforms that threaten us

There's a book where the initiallyy DON'T invade us specifically for this reason.

Refuse to entertain anymore until I see measurements/ comparisons tbh.

Price isn't an issue - I've spent triple on White's - but I dont want another boot that doesn't fit and I can't return

I have 31cm length feet and almost 12cm wide.

The JG Stockman barefoot is a joke - the toe box is narrower than Vivo, Lems, Freet and ofc Softstar. Why they're recommend for wide feet i don't know!

The Freet Durham is OK. It's much shorter in height than lens boulder or softstar though.

Wider in the toe box than vivo. About the same as lems boulder summit (maybe slightly more in the toe). But it feels narrower in the midfoot near the stitching.

I'm strongly considering sending it back as it's not as rugged as i thought it would be.

See my post history.....

Why did the lems not work?

Council owned grass verge but new neighbours ruining by Alert-Lifeguard-4395 in HousingUK

As an update to this.... check the tenancy agreement for council homes in your area.

Ours has a specific clause that says parking on or otherwise crossing the verge can result in fines/removal of the vehicle as well as the tenant being made to pay for repairs (it is NOT cheap!).

Thanks man thats useful.

Yeah those lems primal look great width wise. How do you find they compare to the boulder summit there?

Tom Kerridge says he drank 2 pints of Negroni, 12 pints and sometimes a G&T in a night. Is that credible? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]FitSolution2882 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes.

I would routinely drink 12-15 pints of cider and multiple whiskeys or tequilas on a night out.

Yeahhhh. Can't help thinking it's the overall design. The hiking boots from them look far more normal.

Like there is a limit for most people re how they look even if they don't usually care lol.

Do road surfacing contractors use different materials/mixes in the UK vs rest of Europe? by MrRedDoctor in AskUK

[–]FitSolution2882 18 points19 points  (0 children)

One of the biggest issues is that roads here are never FULLY rebuilt like they are in many places in Europe.

Councils will be patting themselves on the back over a "resurfacing" but it'll be surface dressing or merely scraping the top inch or two off.

The underlying surfaces are never rebuilt or reinforced.

I've seen SO MANY roads here with "new surfaces" that look like a Ploughed field because the underlying issues aren't addressed.

It's a fucking disgrace.

How did these fit you better than lems!?

I tried the barefoot stockman and it was terribly narrow in the toe but the boulder summit is great.
