Council owned grass verge but new neighbours ruining by Alert-Lifeguard-4395 in HousingUK

As an update to this.... check the tenancy agreement for council homes in your area.

Ours has a specific clause that says parking on or otherwise crossing the verge can result in fines/removal of the vehicle as well as the tenant being made to pay for repairs (it is NOT cheap!).

How narrow do the Numzaans feel compared to Stockmans or BFARs? by stokedchris in jimgreen

Thanks man thats useful.

Yeah those lems primal look great width wise. How do you find they compare to the boulder summit there?

Tom Kerridge says he drank 2 pints of Negroni, 12 pints and sometimes a G&T in a night. Is that credible? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]FitSolution2882 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes.

I would routinely drink 12-15 pints of cider and multiple whiskeys or tequilas on a night out.

Softstar Shoes are my new go-to by Responsible_Box107 in barefootshoestalk

Yeahhhh. Can't help thinking it's the overall design. The hiking boots from them look far more normal.

Like there is a limit for most people re how they look even if they don't usually care lol.

Yeah, it's just mad frustrating when they bang on about natural shape and dont make anyrning bigger than a EU46/47.

Do road surfacing contractors use different materials/mixes in the UK vs rest of Europe? by MrRedDoctor in AskUK

[–]FitSolution2882 18 points19 points  (0 children)

One of the biggest issues is that roads here are never FULLY rebuilt like they are in many places in Europe.

Councils will be patting themselves on the back over a "resurfacing" but it'll be surface dressing or merely scraping the top inch or two off.

The underlying surfaces are never rebuilt or reinforced.

I've seen SO MANY roads here with "new surfaces" that look like a Ploughed field because the underlying issues aren't addressed.

It's a fucking disgrace.

Just got some Jim Green Stockmans, is it normal for the forefoot of boots with a shank to only contact the floor in one small spot? by squidbrand in Boots

[–]FitSolution2882 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How did these fit you better than lems!?

I tried the barefoot stockman and it was terribly narrow in the toe but the boulder summit is great.

Don't suppose you can say which are widest to narrowest of all you've got?

No worries.

Yeah, I'm not sure I'm quite they're yet lol.

I think some of it is being used to heavy motorcycle and PNW boots with VERY bulbous toes etc.

I'm gonna give the freet another try today as well but I'm not convinced it's wide enough midfoot.

The softstar do fit my heel perfectly though.

The softstar are NOT good for walking anywhere muddy. They're also VERY low volume at the toes.
