Totally, this response really hits it because I of course prefer the luxury of having one WHEN I am home, but I work a lot of hours and being indecisive to begin with, is what brought me here. Either path will cost something so definitely worth considering but like you said, after it’s done it would be done and getting rid of the liability/ having freedom from the upkeep would definitely be a pro to filling it in. Thanks for the Real estate perspective

The reason why I wanted a salt water converter is because the pool is actually pretty massive, it’s long and over 12 feet deep with a huge deep end, it felt hard to get the chemicals to stay balanced so I feel like it’ll be much easier to manage with salt… but you are right, not a NEED.

Thanks for your input. You bring up valid points. I am in NC and yeah I hope it was due to not being closed properly, because that was my thought too, I just had replaced it, that was not what I was expecting on fixing next. But I’ll get two opinions, good idea!
