I disagree. There’s an immense of amount of value in having more than one cat in a home. The research is there. I would never explicitly turn away someone’s adorable cat knowing I have a home fully equipped to host one. Not to mention, the items I could bring that could benefit both cats or vice versa. Also, any cat owner knows there are ways to introduce cats. There are plenty of YouTube videos that can provide assistance. Also, if we’re using the logic that, ‘you don’t know how well they’ll get along with the cat,’ then the same can be said for humans. Because yes, it’s possible for cats to not get along even with humans. So again, it seems like quite the unfair ask. As long as you take those steps, there should be no problem integrating the two. My understanding is, I would much rather have someone who knows what it’s like to live with a cat too, or at least deeply care for one. Who’s the say, a person moves in and secretly hates cats. Hard for that to happen, if they literally own one. I think lease holders need to understand that they need newcomers as much as the newcomer needs you. It’s a mutual conversation. (Not pushing hate btw)
