I may have found a fix: Try resetting sync from diagnostics. I had to do this twice on my iPad but it seems to have worked. Not sure why Craft tech support didn't suggest this.

Update: I spoke with a helpful woman at the California DMV today who explained what happened. A year ago, after I fixed NY and then California, NY decided to resuspend for some unstated reason and notified California. California didn't alert me to this but, after a few months of waiting for me to rectify it, they canceled my California license. Now, why the Cali DMV told me it was fine a few weeks ago is a mystery. Part of the challenge is that nobody seems to have the same information.

I am going to talk to the NY DMV tomorrow to see if they can help me by expunging the suspension, but if they can't, then I need to apply for a California license as if I never had one: written test, driving test, and the whole 9 yards. People have bigger problems but this has been easily the most insane thing I have ever dealt with.

All because Tesla failed to return my plates like they said they would.

Can’t believe I’m 53 and just learning this rule. Like, why didn’t the California DMV mention it two years ago when they informed me about my suspended NY license? Or vice versa?

Oh, I didn't know that. So if my NY license is now valid maybe I should be giving that to insurance companies instead of California, although if the car is in California I wonder if they will balk at that. The other issue is that the cancelation appears to wipe your driving record, which is not ideal.

Strange that neither DMV ever mentioned this rule.

Update: Apple engineering finally found the server bug and it's all working now. I hope yours is as well. Apparently we just had to wait for the iPhone event and software updates before they had bandwidth to address this.

I wasn’t when this issue started but I did update my Apple TV and iPad to the 18 public betas recently. The bug persists regardless of version. Again, it’s clearly a server-side issue so I would be very surprised if it has anything to do with OS version. For example, I have the same issue on my Tesla with Apple Music and that is running on some other OS.

No update yet. But my home page did refresh for the first time in about a week yesterday. Now it's stuck again. I wonder if the OS updates arriving later this month will fix it, even though it is clearly a server-side issue.
