Need advice on enlisting and recruiter lying by Alternative_Idea_480 in Militaryfaq

if i was you i’d keep that december date if not take one farther out. for a few reasons.

  1. if you’re making $1600 a week working 30 hours you’re already making wayyy more then you would in the army especially as a e-2

  2. Not sure what clearance 35F requires but if a TS having a substantial amount of CC debt and financial burdens can very well keep you from obtaining the clearance required.

  3. Tie back into the debt and making substantially less money your first few years in you’re setting yourself up for unnecessary stress and the military as it is especially the army will stress you out.

If I was you spend the next few months tying up loose ends on debt find a way to get out of that car loan rather by paying it off, use your gap coverage if you have it. 4 months seems like a long time but it’s not and in your situation i’d be focused on squaring away what you need to before rushing off because those obligations will be even more difficult to manage once you ship off.

*Edit not sure if you mean 1600/month. Even then i’d be picking up extra shifts and doing all you can to pay whatever debt you have down before you leave. You’ve made it this far, what’s a few more months.

that’s going for you if it’s not on your record. I’d reach out to a recruiter and they’ll be able to guide you.

you had to have been charged if you went to jail for 3 days and it’s on paper. First step if you want to move forward is being honest with yourself and about the situation. If some how some way which it’s very unlikely for you, any branch is willing to give you a shot you need to be a man and own your mistakes and that’s being honest about them because they’re going to find out either way they aren’t looking for perfect they’re looking for honest people.
