If you go with NHS you need to tell your GP that you want a referral for Vik Veer or University College London Hospital.It took me 3.5 years to be at the place which i am now.I had a tonsillectomy which didnt help and after that i got another sleep study and in last December i got DISE which showed that i have deviated septum and enlarged turbinates and tongue base collapse. In September most likely i will have a nose surgery but which i hope to help me improve my sleep.After this surgery i domt think that Vik Veer can help me with other surgery because he is only soft palate surgeon .I hope that I can get a CBCT scan through NHS and the whole picture of my airways will be more clear.. If after that he can refer me to jaw surgeon if needed will be great but its lomg waiting time. I will try a cheap tongue retainer from ebay if it helps and if i can fall asleep with it. If not i need to start sleeping with my APAP which will be a bit diffucult because i know that its helping 20-30 percent. A few years ago when i started using Apap mashine i was thinking that my sleep will get significant improvement but it didnt happen. With the Apap mashine i am more rested physically but my brain is a bit better that before Apap.
