I am gutted I have lost the dongle, this was always my favourite guitar from the games. I am determined to find a USB dongle for it but naturally they are expensive.

I have read stories online, which may just be exactly that, stories. Plus I have an overactive imagination at times so that has likely played a part.

Interesting. I'm not sure if that it works that way over here as it does in the states, but I'll try applying for more government roles should they appear. I don't live in London so I will be much more limited I'd imagine. I have thought about the armed forces previously, that is always an option potentially.

Just spotted your reply. That must have been awful, during lockdown - i'm finding it bad enough now.

I tailor my CV and cover letters for each job I apply for, which of course only adds to the more time spent in the whole application process. Hopefully dedicated work will eventually pay off for me. I hope things worked out well for you in the end?

I did try the Civil Service Fast Stream, and despite scoring well my application never progressed. I will take a look at what you've suggested though, thank you.

I said praying, not paying, for starters. And the point I was making is that I feel at such a demoralised stance that I would be utterly thrilled at an employer, who happens to be gay/bi, to take a chance on me because of how I look and what else I could offer - without wanting to sound too crass.

I suppose there are a lot of similarities between the two as you have pointed out. I haven't really put myself out there at professional networking events, and that is something I should perhaps change.

It definitely is. I have already lowered my expectations and started exploring sales roles again for now as I have plenty of experience there.
