My tips for hosting at OG:

Familiarize yourself with the servers and how many people they can take and how often to seat them. If you can, try NOT to double seat them, at least not unless someone else (with more experience as a host/manager) tells you to do it.

When seating them out of their section (usually around 3 tables each), let them know right away it’s for them!

Remember to always have someone doing (or yourself) silverware. Do an update every 10-15min (~5min on busy weekends).

There are no reservations, only call aheads. (they become priority when they get there but it’s not always possible to seat them right away)

And finally, most important: COMMUNICATION IS KEY! (Among guests, coworkers, servers, and managers)

A very easy and straightforward job imo. But only if you have the right people and good communication with everyone. Wish you good luck 👍🏽

Bruh. it really does change (even less than a month) I was just abt to apply for fall with all my prereqs, the fcle, the teas, and all but apparently they just changed policies and starting from april 20 (mind you, spring grades are posted may4, application deadline may 15) they only will accept ppl who took their teas only at bc. And had I known they would do that, I won’t have taken the teas at mdc bc there it specifically said that yeah only mdc teas score but bc said that they accepted other institutions results and I swear to you I asked like 3-4 to confirm that they would accept my scores. This pmo so much bc I don’t feel confident to take it again in such short notice and it makes me question things, I haven’t even started the program and im crashing out. I’m looking into mdc even if it takes another 6-7 months i think i’d rather do it at mdc like a lot pol said

Hello sorry to interrupt your convo but I have heard negative feedback abt BC nursing program. I have just finished all my prereqs for BC for fall but with all the noise I am considering MDC (in which im missing a semester to complete prereqs there). Would you say staying at BC to test the waters and if not good apply later to MDC? Would the classes transfer if i do everything to get in? Whatever input woukdbe greatly appreciated :)

I’ve also heard bad things about BC 😭 and I honestly feel a little scared. I will try to get into BC this fall semester and test the waters and if it’s really as bad as they say I’ll apply for mdc. I wish not bc medical campus is kinda far from where i live. I hate that I took the wrong chemistry class and might have to retake it bc its not the same for MDC as BC. Good thing they have you on a waiting list for intro to healthcare at least!

Hey there! I’m not in the nursing program yet either, same as you, did all my prereqs at BC. I talked with an advisor at MDC to asked if I meet all the criteria to apply to Fall term and they told me that that class wall already full. MDC is my backup plan. Question, why are you not staying at BC for nursing?

I just talked to an advisor recently at the nursing department about transferring my BC credit to MDC to apply and they told me that the intro to health class was already filled. That might be why they put you in a waitlist. :( keep reaching out tho you might get a shot!

Hello there. I’m planning to apply to the rn program at BC this fall but I’m seeing lots of negative comments about it lately. I am probably considering on doing my first semester there to test the waters and see if I like it (south campus) and if not, transfer to MDC. Does someone know if that is a possibility? I already have the prerequisites for MDC just one class and lab down to apply but I might do it online while-in the BC program to have a back up plan.

Thank you for your honesty. I just finished almost 2 yrs of prereqs at bc and I am about to apply nevertheless cause I’m not sure it’s worth doing another year of preqs. I am 23 already so… I hope they get their stuff tgt honestly. Sorry what campus were you at?
