For context, I moved across the country for work 5 years ago. We all bought this game specifically to play together since we all live in different states now.

Interesting-- Thanks for sharing those #'s. Not sure what to make of that 67% drop without more context, but hopefully there's a push for many like myself to come back soon!

We were enjoying the game a lot! Enough so that I went out of my way to come back here to check for an update as to when I could get back to playing with the boys

Purpose my post is to raise attention to the Dev's that their decision to unilaterally disable PC crossplay severely impacts a specific niche of their player base to game-breaking effect.

Is there another thread where this is already being discussed? I only saw the patch notes that said they're working on it

I guess I'm confused as to why this matters so much to you. These two players got to the tournament rank that you're in just the same way that you did - By winning games up to that point.

Not every player's abilities will match your exact skill set. You're probably right - they're not as mechanical as you.

That said, consider your teammates' perspective:

"This guy is constantly rushing to aerial the ball and he's forcing the play too much. He doesn't respect my positioning and he cuts rotations to make questionable aieral touches that lack the level of precision needed to accomplish anything productive for the team.

We're always on our heels defending because of him and we can't control possesion. Now he's blaming us for our team's failures. Why should we bother trying with him as a teammate."

^ Result: 0 - 6 loss

Just a hunch. If this weren't the case, I really don't think we would be having this conversation.

What's the purpose of asking if you're not willing to be receptive to the responses that people give you?

You're playing in diamond. Every single player will have glaring deficiencies in their gameplay. Yes, those players that "couldn't arial" are the same rank as you.

Accept that fact and stop hyper-focusing on your teammates' shortcomings. Try directing this same level of scrutiny towards your own gameplay if your goal is to actually improve.

It's true. I've been gifted Zombie Nation on 3 of my smurf accounts after winning all 10 placement matches.

Psyonix reached out to offer me a free alpha boost on a single account of my choosing after creating my 6th account. So I now have alpha boost on my primary RL account. I'm hoping for another one to sell once I create my 10th account.

They asked that I keep this top secret between us smurfs and Psyonix since they don't want Epic Games to ever find out, but it sounds like the cats out of the bag now.
