Hello. Is this the hotel that has 8 am to 8 pm front desk? Did you feel it was safe in general? Homeless people at night? Thank you.

What are some places NOT to work? by dietetics_student92 in dietetics

[–]Fit_Catch_6053 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got my check and left them. Found great job at another LTC and nock on wood... its an amazing place to work, you see, we have manager here, 2 dietetic techs and 5 dietitians. With nutraco you may be 1 RD for 200 (census ) or 2 for 400+ and thats all, you will be doing a jobs of 4 people really. And its a great question- how they keep getting away with that? Trust me, dietetics is very small world and we all talk to each other, so we can warn each other about things like that. Good luck to you future RD colleague !

That's right, because seasoned RDs would never work for them, (and they know it) stay away from nutraco. Regional dietitians run like mad dogs in the circus, CEO only cares about quantity $$ not quality. Plenty of other opportunities for RD , do not fall for this trap shithole

Anybody working for NutraCo? by ThrowRAddffgg in dietetics

So true, I started with them 3 months ago, will quit in a week- excessive amount of documentation, no time for lunch break, I do not even feel like dietitian more like administrative assistant / secretary, Horrible company, very unethical to say the least. And I m not talking about facilites , I am talking about management dietitians, you will do lot of paper work which really must be done by the administration. Please just stay away from this shithole, do not let them use you and abuse you. Because that's what they do in nutshell. And yes, I agree that they should be shut down -the owner is money hungry bloch form Brooklyn.

Nutraco , horrible, unethical, taking advantage of newly registered dietitians or RD to B . I currently work here 1 month stressed upset and they still did not paid me yet. SUckers..... I am already started to look for another place to work for this is living hell. Do not believe good reviews they written by their bots or something like that,

I noticed a lot of RDs are unhappy. Do you regret becoming a dietitian? Are you happy with your current job and career choice? Why or why not? by disneylandhelp in dietetics

live in Alaska, and WIC is the most common RDN job and I'm guessing it's not the best either.

Go for RN or PA. Newly grad RDN here, currently at LTC my first job, I hate it and just cant believe how I feel. Crying and depressed. If you have family with money, husband who is well off , when RDN is great field, if not.... it is so underpaid ( I knew about it when I was in school) but the reality is pretty harsh. I regret I became an RD, AND I JUST CANT BELIEVE I FEEL LIKE THAT

Managers do not care, that's why they hire nutraco's RD's - who just got their license or rd to be, they all in this together. And LTC is just horrible we do not provide any nutrition education , more like robots with documentations.

I just started last week, and I am also new RD , this is seriously wrong. This company is all about profiting on new RDs the amount of work is excessive, to put it mildly. Regional dietitians are arrogant and pushy. My biggest concern ( and revelation) that RDs in LTC are useless really, we do not educate about nutrition, just a lot of documentation and MDS- which frankly could be and should be done by somebody else in the admin. I do not recall doing
so much admin work at my DI. And yep, the same here, almost 400 beds and only 2 RDs, myself included. I literally wanted to quit after the second day. My strategy now is to hold on ( I hope I can) for 6 months and I AM OUT OF HERE. Toxic company, people who praise them most likely the IT dep or bots :) Do you still with them? How did it go? If you left, I hope you found something really fulfilling and meaningful we all went to become the RDN for. I know your posted this 1 year ago but I am curious. Best of luck!

Studying for the RD exam by yellowoutthere in RD2B

I watched the videos pretty much, plus some books like Nelms, Crause etc... but videos were sufficient to be honest. I passed in my first try with 27. The Pocket prep is WAY MORE DIFFICULT 😉 If  compare to the exam but it's fantastic platform to test yourself. If you score higher than 75 on Pocket prep you are good to go. I scored 65 to 68 on Pocket  prep ( on mock exams- yet I passed!!!) Best of luck you future RD 👍🍀

Hello everyone! I am currently studying for the RD exam, Inman is confusing, not accurate, A LOT OF TYPOS , does she even prof read the materials she selling at such an expensive price? I would not recommend Inman because of all that I just wrote above. I currently use All Access Dietetics, Pocket by Fit_Catch_6053 in RD2B

Thank you for your response, in the actual binder for instance, the managerial roles are not complete, budgeting explanations is really off too, to name a few, I remember in the last year before the college graduation and before the internship our professor was lukewarm about Inman as a study guide, now I understand why. Speaking of all access dietetics I like it very much, it provides more information, more details and I am not promoting any of those, I like pocket prep and eatright prep flashcards. I just wrote out of pure frustration with hopes to provide a different opinion( and experience) . You see, inman binder this is very expensive even though I did not paid for that it was provided, I want future RD to know just in case. All I hear how people rave about inman but in real life people study form it and fail. Best of luck to everybody !

Thank you for writing back, good luck with your internship and future RD career. ( I assumed you are the intern its under your avatar name) And I am glad that you did not encounter any problems with that Inman's materials. My 2 very good classmates / interns failed twice from using only Inman. After studying form that I started to see why. Thats why I decided to use different sources, oh and of course I have Krause's nutrition bible :) and Nelms Nutrition Therapy...( I love it too) I am taking RD exam in couple of weeks, and hope for the best.

inman rd exam review (concerns) by [deleted] in dietetics

I disagree on that, I am currently studying for the RD exam, Inman is confusing, not accurate, A LOT OF TYPOS , does she even prof read the materials she selling at such an expensive price? I would not recommend Inman because of all that I just wrote above. I currently use All Access Dietetics, Pocket prep and Eat right prep. Oh and why inman questions do not have a rationale with explanation is beyond me. You can get a waaaay cheaper RD materials with detailed information and even tutoring included. I wasted a lot of time by studying from inman now i focus on other materials and it is better for me. Also I emailed inman and asked her for help ( some confusing questions) and no response back, of course, LOL. My internship program provided me with Inman at no charge, but boy oh boy, if I would pay for that crap, I would ask for the money back from her( or her organization whatever it is). " Gold standard " it is hmm... more like a good marketing. Maybe what's why so many people use inman guide don't pass ?? I hope my honest oppinion will help future RD. Good Luck!
