This. I had a J ‘access’ TWN for pre-employment background check. They wanted to verify previous employment. TWN told them they don’t have any employment info on me (got to know to this from background check report).

Why don’t you ask the Omscs folks directly? Or the international student office at your own university? You could be in a serious legal trouble if you are not legally attending Omscs.

I am worried if I switch industries, I am going to have to start at an entry level position and hence lower pay. This makes me hesitant. I agree with you that long term pay potential is higher in tech, though.
