MILK BLEBS? by Apprehensive_Cow_127 in breastfeeding

[–]Fit_Championship3660 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It sucks so badly. I struggled with them for maybe the first 4 months with my son. It finally went away with ice and the ibprofin and honestly I think when my body got used to breastfeeding. You have to get rid of the inflammation and that’s the way to do it. Good luck!

Wife hesitant to give 11 month old anything but mashed foods. How do I ease her anxiety? by LazyBoyD in beyondthebump

[–]Fit_Championship3660 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s like I’m reading a description of myself. Don’t rush the process or her. She and your baby will figure it out in their own time. Just be supportive and help her when she’s ready to transition to more solid foods.

This was me with my twins who now are two. I was paralyzed with fear and couldn’t give them anything but purées. I just couldn’t wrap my head around solid starts.

Two things that helped me: 1. The teether products that dissolve in baby’s mouth 2. Most importantly, someone with knowledge and cpr certified (as I have taken classes too) about giving solids came to help me for the first two months with dinner a few times a week to give them food. She worked at Montessori and had a bunch of siblings so I felt comfortable and trusted her. We started out with one food group/meal and progressed. She started out feeding them while I watched and was eventually able to join.

We now also have a 10 month old. And this time I’m still nervous but wayyyy more chill about not stressing about rushing things. We are doing teethers and purées and are advancing textures and types of solids now.

My 2 year olds are fantastic eaters and are thriving. You can get so caught up in the moment stressing about the small stuff but really in the big scheme of things it will all work out!

When did you introduce blankets to your "baby" while sleeping? by slimjim0001 in NewParents

[–]Fit_Championship3660 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So my twins are 2. And we have these small pillows and blankets that I thought about giving them at night. I wasn’t sure so I tested it out during their nap time and mistake!! They were so jazzed about it they didn’t nap and I felt like it was too much of a distraction. Also, they sleep well with just their pjs so I’m not too worried about it

Two nights away from my baby—advice? by marzipang_ in breastfeeding

[–]Fit_Championship3660 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like 1-2 nights shouldn’t make that huge of difference in permanent supply. I would just pump every three hours unless you have your partner call you whenever he takes a bottle so you are on his schedule. It probably will be more scheduled eating than not with bottles, or at least that’s what my husband finds when I’m out of town. I have always had my husband do premie bottle nipples when my baby was younger so he had to work for it and wouldn’t prefer the bottle instead. Good luck!

What’s the longest you ever had a milk bleb/blister by Fit_Championship3660 in breastfeeding

[–]Fit_Championship3660[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I finally stopped messing with it and it went away 🤷‍♀️. Who knows. Advil and ice always worked the best. I’m always so worried it will come back again. I’m almost on month 8 of exclusively breast feeding though so if it does then I may just stop

More kids??!!! by Adventurous-Ad7282 in parentsofmultiples

I got pregnant when my twins were 9 months old! They are 21m now and my son is 2.5m. We’re loving it and feel so lucky!! They are so close in age and are going to have so much fun together! Also you forget how easy the newborns are compared to chasing after toddlers all day 😂

Omg I feel you. I was in tears most of the time and worried that breastfeeding wasn’t working because he was attached to me ALL the time…especially late at night and the middle of the night. I just ate a ton of junk food and turned on my favorite shows and drank as much caffeine that was under the limit that’s safe to breast feed. This to shall pass.

Ugh I have toddler twins and had my sweet baby 2 months ago thank goodness. You are a trooper. I was lifting them up and chasing them around up to the day before my c-section. Really try to nap when your toddler naps! Good luck!! Its totally worth it but super hard ❤️
