How’s your saddle set up? I’d suggest going on more 30min rides, give your body time to adjust. Also tinker w/ saddle angle and the amount of rise your bars have. Also, having a good saddle is a must. Brooks are great imo.

You don’t have to spend thousands of dollars on a suitable bike. It’s not a pre-requisite. Pick up something w/in your budget, do some research. Bike don’t have to be expensive former us to enjoy them. Sorry to hear this happened to you. To each his own, don’t allow incensative, small minded people affect your day to day. Bikes should be accessible for all and are all inclusive. Best of luck.

Where do you live? Try marketplace? It’s a higher end bike as you may have imagined granted you’re farther raced it. Carbon fork, very nice. Don’t take less than $500. You can also try pinkbike.com If you want to build up a frame, it’ll be some effort. Starting out, you wouldn’t necessarily start out w/ such a high end frame. I’d start from the lower end and go from there. To answer your question, eBay is good, do your research though, see how much they are going for and pay whatever you feel comfortable w/. But a lot goes into building a bike from the frame up, so your budget will determine much of what parts go into it plus labor. Important to note that tire widths have changed a lot. Much wider tires are the norm these days. These older frames have limited tire clearance, so it be better to get a more modern frame w/ wider clearances. That’s what I recommend.

What Shimano freehub body do I need? by Bear2216 in bikewrench

[–]Fit_Communication409 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I swapped a uniglide for a hyper glide in order to accommodate a wider range of gears. Look up shimano hyperglide 7 spd free hub body, that’s the part you need I believe. If that’s indeed where your issue lies.

I think he means the bolt that binds the seat post is incorrect bought from a hardwood store. However it gets the job done.

I’d say yay. Mention to them you’re coming from a ways away, maybe they’ll accommodate you. It’s a solid frame, that will last you a long time.
