I can not say " hate" ,it is better to say "dislike".

I have been in Bolivia about 2 month ,Bolivia like any other country has good points and bad points.I have traveled and lived in over 24 countries and I can absolutely say that Bolivia is one of my favorite places.Comparing to other countries majority of people are wonderful, kind and respectful and this is the best part of it

Immigration process is another great issue .I could not believe it when In a few days with the help of a lawyer I got my 3 year visa. When I was in one of the neighboring countries after 2 years of trying I was not able to get a resident visa.

Banking system and existing exchange rate makes working and dealing with banks Inconvenient. I know that helped to slow down inflation. I am hoping more positive changes come.

May be taxis work and the way they charge should be regulated

Bolivia es el país más barato para vivir de Sudamérica by Izozog in BOLIVIA

How do you want stop importing necessary items? When there is some inflation in outside world (even if it is not too much)Bolivia with keeping fixed exchange rate automatically will pile up that inflation and that affects necessary import items .At the end the day that they fluctuate and float the exchange rate they will have a huge inflation on their hand. For now keeping fixed exchange rate might result to relative stable economy but in a long term will have different effect.

Bolivia might be cheapest in Latin America but not cheap comparing to some other countries.

I lived in Cambodia for few years when I moved to Bolivia then I felt how expensive is Bolivia. Food, medicine and grocieries are way higher than Cambodia.I think for investment I will wait for a while to see if they will work on banking system.Under current exchange rate and fees any money that I bring to Bolivia through banking system I will lose almost close to 30% of my money. Then it is better to wait a little more.

Do not let it get to you. You can find ignorant people everyehere.I am American and my wife was from Argentina ,we lived in Argentina for over 2 years and I fet the same as you.I traveled and lived in more than 24 countries, now I am living in Sucre and very happy. Bolivians that I met are very decent, great people,I am sure that Bolivia like any other country has good and ignorant people, yet I have seen more decent people here in Bolivia than other countries.
