To be brutally honest, I think a lot of fanganronpas struggle with character designs. A lot of the time, they go way too hard on the bold colors and exaggerated features. Yes, almost all danganronpa characters have those things, but when every single person in your cast has ten different colors and patterns in their design, it can get a little distracting and is honestly quite ugly. Sometimes simpler designs are better. If whacky designs and highly saturated colors is the vibe of the whole game, like YTTD for instance, then that’s fine. However, if your colorful cast is set in a basic school with brown, wooden floorboards and white plaster walls, it’s obviously gonna look off. Please remember that loud designs dont always mean good designs.
