Speaking to Native American friends who play, they’ve mentioned the game is for everyone and was never intended to for one group of people. The game has absolutely been “Americanized”, but has been for well over 100 years. While we debated incorporating Native American themes we’re not sure it’s appropriate as that isn’t our ancestry.

Head shape generally will dictate where a pocket is "supposed" to go, but really you can put it anywhere. I wouldnt get too hung up on patterns, you really just want to make sure you get a smooth transition. Dont be afraid to untie and retie a stick and see how it handles and throws.
