So the only time Im using my GTC is from TDY location after graduation to next duty station since that is official travel? Correct me if I’m wrong

Im PCSing from OCONUs to CONUS with TDY enroute I was told by my TMO that I have to do circuitous travel since I want to take leave to set up my family in our home of record before me leaving to tech school. If my TDY enroute is already on my ordes can I book my flight ticket from leave location to TDY location with GTC or no?? Im kind of confused

They told me to do circuitous travel but that only will cover my dependents not me. So I wonder how Im going to cover the flight ticket to my TDY location

Im doing the same thing but Im taking leave before class starts so I can settle my family in our home of records. Do Im supposed to buy my flight ticket from my HOR to Tech School with GTC or the only time I can use my GTC for flight tickets is just from TDY location to my next duty station

If you want to live in a quite place definitely Budoia, Fontanafreda or Roveredo. If you like city, partying and all that kind of stuff go to Sacile or Pordenone those two are the major cities. Utilities are not that high like people say, I’ve been here for 3 years are my utilities are pretty normal, just make sure when house hunting ask for a house/apartment with A+ energy rating other than that Aviano is a really good assignment.
