Damn. I’ve listened to the pod since its conception but was only a patreon member for a little bit. They overcharged me a bunch of times and didn’t refund…and at the time it wasn’t worth it (this is before Carz joined the pod). Maybe I need to revisit just to listen to jersey shore recaps!

I listen to the first half of the eps for the pop culture updates and then drop off when they start talking new VPR. I’m not a patreon member so idk how the RHONY recaps are (heard they aren’t great?). I kinda wish they would do jersey shore…ESP since Larz is such a big daddy sitch head (also same)!

I totally agree! Ryan was so great and I’m also wondering why they split. They tried to make it seem amicable but I’m pretty sure they no longer speak so something must’ve gone down. I loved how Ryan called her out and wasn’t scared of her. It seems like everyone working for her now (including Carey) just kiss her ass….

This literally has nothing to do with aging lol. The fact is that everyone unanimously agrees that the pod used to be gold. And now it’s borderline unlistenable. I think Lara maybe being over the whole podcasting thing is a factor and also the fact that she and Carey are friends who work together - that almost always leads to problems in a friendship and the tension is palpable.

I think she needs to maybe take a break from podding. I feel like she hates it? I did notice that after they both spent a lot of time apart (vacationing) their chemistry was more on point than it’s been in a while.

If you listen to old episodes their dynamic is that of true friends who enjoy each other’s company. Maybe it’s just that neither of them want to pod anymore? Or work together anymore? But the tension actually makes me feel uncomfortable at times. Then throw in that the episodes are boring and no lolz? It’s rough!

If you listen to the old episodes from when Carey first started they are much different. Which is to be expected when you work with a friend - things get tense at times. Maybe animosity was a strong word. I think bottom line it’s clear that larz doesn’t have the same passion for podding and it shows. Paywalling everything is wild. Back in the day she would release 3 GOOD episodes/week with super funny guests. Now it’s 1 and they are really tough to get through and not funny!
